I'm struggling to catch anything everything retraces so quickly as volumes are thin. Only quick in and outs are working.

No good lookin setups that I've found lately. I'm taking my time in these conditions to find the most obvious (no brainer) setups. I'm still around, if I find a good one I'll be sure to post

I believe BRV is a fund manager, and I imagine he has a lot of EOY work to do aside from trading to get things settled. He mentioned that he had been caught up in work, I wouldn't worry about it. Keep in mind it's also the holidays and posting and writing blogs might take a back seat to dealing with real life issues.Anyways, I think there's enough active traders here who understand the basics and more and have the wherewithall to make sure this thread doesn't die. We might not have good blog posts to read every day, but certainly there's good levels and analysis posted here day in and day out. I mean you can actually see the progress made by people in this thread by looking back even a few months ago. Really amazing stuff.

LOL.... Thanks Red. People can question all they want, I really have nothing to prove, just sharing. But ok...here is one I have pending now.

AUD/USD - On the 17th price moved up after a Drop-Base-Rally. It has not yet retested the area. I look for a retrace when it hits the pending BUY orders that did not get filled during the first rally. Stop Loss is small rewards are HIGH. BUT, like all trading, it may blow through it on the way down and not retrace at all....that's trading.

Don't worry I wasn't implying anything has to be proved.
I think there are a lot of egotistical types elsewhere in FF, thankfully in this thread they are scarce.

Set up looks good, as you say not much time to fill orders at that level. My s/r is at 6894, I'll be looking for a retrace when the alarm goes off.

Sam gets the message across really well, watch all his videos in fxstreet.com, there's a lot of repetition but it's worth it as it starts to become imprinted on your brain.

I can't help thinking of the teacher in South Park though...mmmkay.

No Problem Red... One more I closed 2 hrs ago. Sam Seiden Supply and Demand trade for ++101

I'm through for the day. When it get's this late the market get's un-predictable.

Still waiting for the retrace back up to 4635 area with a sell limit order waiting there.

It's good to know someone is getting trades over 100pips while the rest of us struggle to get 40 in this volatility.

OK Red, As I stated above that's trading. It blew through and stopped me out with a 33 pip SL. So I reset lower at the most logical place and I am currently up +49... we'll see.

UPDATE: Closed trade @38.2 FIB for +67 pips less the -33 SL above for a profit of +34

Morning,

Aud/usd gave out +100 yesterday before retracing back below the break out line. Managed to skim a few of that and now it's floating around in a channel again.

Decided to take profits on usd/chf + Usd /Jpy:one of the best runs of the year for me. I continue to hold Euro for now and am looking at usd/cad for a short play around 1880. On the up side if this manages to break 12199 with any conviction I believe intraday bias will be to the upside and look at targeting 12512.

It's been quite the week/year and I'm thinking of winding things down for the holidays.

This is the sort of contribution this thread needs. Good job MG.

Reminding us that controlled small losses are part of the game, and that you've got to be in it to win it.

My biggest problem yesterday was having the courage to get into the trades I had set up due to EOY volatility.

It's not nice seeing 100's of pips left on the table.

Hi,

I'm new to s/r trading.

I have for EURUSD between 1.32 and 1.50 35 levels/areas for the price to bounce. Is this to much?

15 either support or resistance

and the other 20 support/resistance
