i made more than a 100 pips on some euro shorts and gave it all back in that other 300 pip rally today....

i guess i was saved by the SL...

i kept getting those STRONG bullish signals each time it touched my m30 50ema with a MASSIVE bullish HD... but i always told myself, this is too much, it just cant go up any further... WTF ever!!! i'll definitely trade my system BLINDLY from now on...

there was STRONG Bullish HD on the monthly chart, and since it formed when price was below monthly 50ema, i didn't have any bigger timeframe to look at for its 50ema to apply the fourth rule of my system... but guess what, just TODAY i remembered that godfrey once told me that 100ema was the 50ema of the "bigger" timeframe... so i placed 100ema on the monthly chart and there it was! a BOUNCE from the 2 month timeframe's 50ema (monthly 100ema), which yields the next target according to my system is GANN of the monthly chart!!! i wish i had noticed that earlier and i wish they had 2 month charts on MT4, the period converter does NOT give u anything over the monthly chart

Looks like the European Central bank decided to prop up the currency....Not a bad effort but unsustainable and doesnt work...they tried that with the pound years ago and it didnt save its collapse either, in fact this week the Government announced they wouldn't be taking steps to save the Pound due to lessons learnt before.

Bit of a crossroads here...USD/CHF tumbling faster than a Friday night girl's knickers, along with USD/JPY. GBP/USD fairly sideways....Big moves about to happen in G/Y this week Im sure...When does the party start?

PS Lilmoe or anyone else...Need to grab hold of the QQE, HiLo Gann and other indicators again,have there been any changes and have you tweaked the settings? which page or where can I get them please? Im going to be using this trading style for my daily trades and leave the Long terms running with my other system. Cheers bros, help appreciated.

but would u be selling right now?? i would NOT dare anymore... i'll try once again if we reach 61.8 retracement of the move from 1.60 - 1.22 IF i start getting those bearish HD's again... if there's a bullish HD, ummmmmm NO...

and yes the indicators are still in the attachment button of this thread... and no, no changes or tweaks lately... just click on the attachment button on the top right corner of this thread, and they should appear right in front of u after u do a little search

tell me if u cant find them

While the m15 bear flag may have been broken, the major 135.30 support has not had a confirmed break yet. I put in a few units long at 135.50. Don't forget that the BoJ chairman also annoucned there may be another bank intervention in the JPY since recent movements will really screw their GDP. Go back on a few charts and reflect on what happened during those times of intervention - it will give you a second thought on shorting GJ at this time.

I agree with you, I think that UJ won't be able to make a new low, even it did it will bounce quickly as BOJ won't let it go down any more!

Good observation. My favorite saying, has always been that history tends to repeat itself. The way the markets work, the way psychology works, the way fibbonaci systems were developed, its all based on a central theory of equillibrium aka the yin-yang. To short UJ or other carry's on the assumption that they will breeze through all the levels without anything being tampered with is just arrogant. US being one of Japans main vital source for sales is enough of a reason for the banks to step in and buy it back to the 90 levels IMO. Technicality in the market reflects upon the psychological events that occur - in essence it is no different than a lagging indicator. The psychology right now for carrys is:
1) What will happen with next rate decision
2) Will the banks step up and do something to control these movements

Since this forum is about GJ, we can talk all about technical factors but in the end, markets move on fundamnetals whereas we are all but meer speculators. To summarize with my 2cents, again I feel that mid 135 area has marked the bottom for GJ and it is only time's choice as to when the rally starts to begin - its a big statement to make but my money is where my mouth is.

as mentioned yesterday as soon as rsx on 30 min turned down and went green off 139 time to short for 300 pips ... now rsx with sma is green on 60 min ... this is not time to short yet . Also the same bearish div i got off 139 on the rsx on the 30 min is showing up in the 135 area. Ther was stoppingm volume at 134.85 ( high volume down bar ) ... that has mot been broken to downside yet

I am trying to swing trade a bit more ... lol .... as time is not allowing me to day trade

My entry is 136,65 long ... this has not been filled yet today and if market moves down will not be.

We may see a test of the lows of 134.85 , but as long as they are not broken the stopping volume remains vliad for some form of retracement / move to upside

this is entirely due to dollar weakness... dollar index bounce from a monthly 78.6 fibo with a strong bearish HD... same exact setup as euro only the compete opposite... i even mentioned that 2 weeks ago... too bad i didn't trade what i saw

anyway, during that dollar weekness, the pound did NOT move up as much as the euro did, this means that the pound is WEAK!!! just imagine what would happen if the dollar gains some strength back... DOWN she goes! and guess, it might very well take GJ with it... so be careful on those longs... be careful with ANY trade actually.

here's a monthly chart for the euro explaining what i'm talking about.

Based on the hourly chart the 135.30 -135.50 range is holding as a support.

The TL is trending upward.

I am long atm as long as the daily chart holds on the RSX.

Needs to close above 139 for confirmation for bullish run on the daily chart..

Consolidation on the daily chart 132.50 to 139.00 range.

2 reasons:

1. check the Timezone, as some are closing an hour or two earlier then the second one. Check which bar ODL or FXDD starts calculating NEW DAY. The formula is Prvious DAY: [Open + High + Close]/3 .. the most one
2. Check the formula: usually the formula is (O+H+C)/3, but someone use (O+H+L+C)/4
