Couldn't agree with you guys more, The 1H migration definitely can get you before the close of the 4H and yes sometimes even with 20 to 25 stop loss. This of course is after you completely understand the 4H rhythm and price action. Great charts Palmer.

Wish I would listen to my own advice sometimes! Caught the wrong side of the Cable move today. Was expecting some action off the 21ema on the 1Hr, but like a dafty I switch to the 15min and took the move on too early before the 1Hr had close. 50pip loss both units.

Lesson: wait till 1hr closes next time.

edit....it gets worse the 4hr was an evening star and at the moment it has run down to the 21ema and bounced 100pips off it.

edit....oh so now it decides to move 150pips in my original direction!!

mr. krai, I'm quoting from your document:

"When the price goes through the 89SMA it tends to pullback to the 21EMA, if the 21EMA is above the 89SMA. If not it tends to pullback to the 89SMA or to the 8EMA"

Why do you think that choosing some numbers (fibonacci or not) and applying some customized formula to them (EMA is not really average), did you find the secret of the market?

The prices "go through" 89SMA simply because they tend to touch their average from time to time. The beginners don't understand this thing. And after that of course that they will touch 21EMA or 8EMA because they do it all the time, this EMAs having a nature of being close to the chart.

Yeah, I've had that happen plenty of times....You get in, get stopped out, and then later the price moves your way.

There was A LOT of movement today that was VERY FAST. I had to narrow things down to a 1/5 timeframe and pulled in some on the EURUSD. I did not post that trade here because the entry had nothing to do with the 4hr except for the trend direction. During very fast markets like they were earlier I think we all need to either take a step back from a 4hr timeframe or narrow things down to a shorter tiemframe as long as you have a method for that. I was long at one point then went short next; against the 4hr trend. Sooo, no post here about those trades.

I approach the 4hr as a slow 'rhythmical' approach to the market. If there is a lot of volatility there then I let things settle and trade a shorter timeframe if I have the time.

Letting things settle out right now and just cheking out russianbrides.com for a little while....duuuuude....

LoL......

Over confidence on my part as that the first loser this month. When I step back and look at it, it never fitted any of my plan or rules. Too much Christmas cheer maybe!

Where is that dunce's hat!

it seems like going to expand again or breakout !! we shall wait after the news......... and the MACD signal on 1H. is it??
edit: the price breakout the trend line .. now wait for pull back from 15min for entry. profit target maybe 21EMA in 4H.
