No re-quotes. You might get a bit of slippage if the market is thin and moving quick but for the most part the orders are taken in very quickly. There are settings you can change within your preferences which mean you can opt for orders to be executed with an emphasis upon time, or an emphasis upon price. Really you'd need to open two accounts and take several trades simultaneously to see the difference, but I have mine set to price and I do just fine. If your orders are not executed quickly, it'll be because there is no one to pick up the other side of your trade (it is moving quick and therefore the market is one-sided, or you are trading odd lots). You cannot hold any broker to be responsible for this, and is in fact proof that they are actually an ECN. - not every characteristic of them is advantageous to the trader.


msc, forex and futures can not and will not be able to be traded in the same account in the US unless the legal conditions concerning the trading of these instruments are aligned. I shouldn't think it'd take much more than a phone call to MBT to move the funds into a futures account for you.

It has nothing to do with legal conditions (i.e. IB offers FX and futures and more in the same account). MB clears through Pension GHCO for stocks/futures/options and its own ECN for FX - so funds can't mix accounting-wise.

Also, no Euro accounts and no Eurex futures (although announced since years).

Yes, Interactive Brokers do mix their accounts, but they are the exception. If IB went down, as the accounts are mixed with futures etc., which are protected by law, traders would likely get all their money back. Not so with other brokers, which is why most do not allow them to be traded from the same account. It all comes down to legal liability. How hard do you think it would be for MBT to bundle their accounts together? Certainly would be a lot more convenient, and they'd probably get more business.

Have you noticed that Interactive Brokers do not appear on the NFA Capital Requirements list?

How hard? They can't do it at all in the first place, because they are not a self-clearing FCM like IB is and therefore are dependent on what their clearing firm can offer. With a MB stock/fut/option account everything is handled by Pension (you even get a login at the pension reporting site).

Fair enough. Sounds like a minor issue that could be overcome easily enough if MBT were willing, but I am certainly no expert. I'm sure you make a great point but regardless it appears there are various reasons that MBT does not offer accounts that trade both forex and futures/stocks etc.. Enough said.

One thing that has always irked me at MB was I would get a signal
at the Midnight Bar (NY TIME) and Navigator was offline for those few minutes.

Or, i'd have a trade on for the whole evening and my exit would print at
2 minutes after midnight and I couldn't close.

Naturally, if the trade was worth a flip in the first place, that price would trade again during the next hour
and make the exit then. That was that and it came out the same. Just didn't want to depend on, "I hope so..."

Spreads have improved, but the roll-over rates are still wicked.

Sometimes the demo account rejects my orders (like right now...)

Does this happens to live accounts?

The funny thing is that I put an order but I cannot cancel it, so sometime later it activates. So far this is for my profit(10.000 $ > 12.633 $ in a week with 2.000 $ from orders I thought canceled - Demo Account).

I had all kinds of problems like that on the demo, but never on the live account.

Felix neither is, nor ever was an owner of MB Trading or had any other association with the firm, other than being an Introducing Broker so that he could receive compensation for his referrals. That relationship has since been terminated and we no longer conduct business with him.

Is an MB forex account updated realtime after trades so you can trade in and out all day?

You mean the account balance? If so yes, the account balance reflects your realized profits and losses immediately after trades are closed. Not sure what you mean by trading in and out all day though.

Another strange thing I noticed today at demo account.

The prices of Eur/Usd were different from the prices of Oanda demo account. No 2-3 pips but 10 or more.

But when I take a trade (market sell or buy) I would get filled to a price closer to the Oanda demo account. It was like the Oanda demo had more "real" or " up to date " prices.

This happened only for 2-3 minutes.

But I think this is just another MB Tradind demo account bug.

Another cool thing was that for a while the Bid price was higher the the Ask by as much as 10 pips. So I could make guaranteed profits. Of cource this didnt last long.

I will keep practicing.

OK. I am getting worried.

Demo Account.

Eur/Usd was 1.4460. Then some news came out and the price started to rise sharply. I was short with 1 lot (10.000). As I started to have a big loss I shorted some more gradualy to have better average price. My trades were executed fast and to the price I intented although the market was moving fast.

Eur/Usd reach 1.4716 and started falling. My average position was 1.4624 with 22 lots short. First thing I noticed was that the price didnt come as fast down to the MB trading account as to Metatrader program and another Oadna demo account. Then when the price at the MB demo was 1.4619 (so I was finaly in profit) and I started closing my positions the trades were executed to a much higher price and to a loss for me. This prices were not shown (not for a slit second ) to the FX Board (or to metatrader, or to Oanda Demo Account..)

My questions are:

1) Is this a Demo account bug? Not showing the correct price. Showing a price but the trade is executed to another.

2) I placed market orders. Can this be the problem? But when the market was moving fast against me I didnt had any problem make orders exactly where I wanted.

3) Does any of these this happens to a live account? Big price deferences from others brokers and get filled to a price that dont exist neither to MB or to another broker.

I am not saying that something suspicious happens. It is just a demo account. I have heard really good things for MB but I am having strange problems with the demo account.
