dr g i am goingto test this on a London breakout too as it has worked so well for NY, i dont believe there is enough volume for a Asian breakout


will try london 7-9 GMT as thats 1 hour eithe side of London forex market opening

Hi.

This is a very good system.

Some of the people here have to read the rules for this system.
Read first posting in this thread.

Some points to note:

1. There are only 9 candles/bars in the 15 minute chart, between 1400-1600.
2. If the Distance between the high and low is less than 50-60 pips, it could be very profitable. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3. If the Distance between the high and low is more than 50-60 pips, it could be not very profitable.!!!!!!!!!!!!
4. If the price doesn't break the high/low, its a ranging market.
5. The USD news are usually released around or after the 14:00-16:00 phase.
6. The signals are only valid for the current day, Next day u again need to wait for the 1400-1600 time and 9 candles again.


Since September we have an average range about 100 pips !!!
So, as the creator of this system said, if the distance is bigger than 60 pips, it could be not very profitable.

But if somebody still want to trade this system, it could be very helpful to use some indicators.
I like ADX 50 and Momentum 50.

On GBPUSD wie dont have a good trend since October. But in July and August we can make a lot of pips with this system.

Sometimes it could be more profitable to wait than to trade.
It is a always the same game on forex, after the nice trend move over 1-2 months, we have a few months low trend.



Also,
i have tested this system for the Japan-brkout 3H-5H CET. It works more profitable than the US-brkout because the range is also now in this volatil times lower than 50 pips.

HI guys,

Wanted to say that yesterday i took 10 pip TP on a GU trade that had a 25 pip SL.

Also i traded the EU and had to losses 40 pip in total (keeping in mind that EU is not part of the original system).

I thinq that now the bigest issue fot this system is the SL level. Maybe it`s a good idea to back test the sysetm for all 2008 considering RR ratio =1. We should consider 3-4 levels of tp & SL, centralize the results and see what is the most profitable way to trade it (at least for 2008).

So, first of all, for which level do you think we should start backtesting?

My proposal 20 pip SL & TP & 40 pip SL& TP.

Your metatrader is out of date. Get the newest version of mt4 and install.

Sorry, I can't advise you on S/L ... my account is different than yours. Just be careful with your trading and use 0.10 standard lots for each $1,000 in your account.

This strategy is written for only one session. Several good traders have used a system similar to this on other sessions and produced excellent results. They have posted their system on this thread.

Your not trading the strategy by the rules given. The systm showed a nice profit before reversing. It is not the system that caused the loss. Same with previous days trading.

Go over the rules again. The mistake is one your making.

What you failed to state ...is to cover the losses you made by not trading the system by the rules. Your the only one I know that is not making a profit the last couple of days.

Please don't post your losses if your not trading the system correctly.

Hey Buddy, your right about the asian session. This is the session I stay away from when trading.
