what setting are people using for the 35x25?

increasing 1.6 to 1.8 multiply?
same stop loss or increase to 250?
same amount of levels?

Change the pips to 25, increase the multiply to 1.8, and change the stop loss to 210. That is it.

it was, tho maby we should think about a rule of thumb for after weekend opens (monday for me, Sunday night for peeps in US)..

maby wait a certain time limit, or wait for a retrace of 35-40 before turning the EA on...

But that's a good lesson for for all of us when we go live.
What news would you guys look out for?
Even non AUD or NZD news seem to affect it a little bit.

It was a big ouch for me but at least it was not real money and I learned something.

Edit: I should add to this post that I treat demo accounts as real money. That is why I said it hurts even know I did not lose any money. I am going to pretend this happened and try to make my loss back plus a profit. At that point I will consider going live again.

I've let it run continously from just after Sunday open till Friday afternoon. I'm on IBFX. Settings last week were .1 lots for Auz/Nzd and .05 pips for Eur/Gbp & Auz/Cad, 1.6 multiplication, 200 pip SL. I didn't add Eur/Gbp & Auz/Cad till later in the week.

I've dropped Eur/Gbp. Are you stopping the EA for the USA session?

Here's how someone could be stopped out. At 2300 hrs, it was 2044, and went to 2263 at 0300, for a rise of 219 pips.

I'm wondering if the modifications added for the 35x25 come at the cost of performance (broader range etc.). Sorry if that's a stupid question.
Have to start going the original HG Thread which will take some time.

Hi everyone!

I am curious of how many traders that trade only from 0 GMT to US session, and who of you that trade the whole time.

Also, do you prefer interference, or do you let the EA run by itself 24/5?

I have tried avoiding the US session, but last week that proved to be worse than if I had let the trades run. This week I will try to let the EA run the whole time, without interfering.

I'm only demoing this for 2 weeks now. First week with tradingtime 0 GMT to US Open. Made 50$ on 500$. Second week 24/5 made 107$.
But that's not enough testing time to say what works better.
I'd probably run it 24/4,5 since I'd wait on monday for the weekend gap to close and close it on Friday evening (maybe 2-3 hours before market closes ) so I don't hold it over the weekend.

Very simple, I started the the system right before the market opened at 6 pm est. You started the system an hour later than me so it must have moved a great deal between 6 and 7 pm est. Here is a graph of the current account. This was a fresh $2,000 account running all default settings with a 210 stop loss.

Seems like the biggest profits are made when US closes. Anyone else has that impression?

Well, yesterday was either a good day or a whack day. I have two tests to show you this one is the 35x25. It took the early morning loss and then while I was sleeping it took a second when my internet went down. Here is my live account chart. Obviously not every day is going to be a winning day. To the guy that wanted a worse case scenario well here it is. I missed not hitting the stop loss by 13 points.

My second live account I am using a 50x15 and it also took the early hit for a loss and was shut down during the night because I lost my internet connection. You can see the two dips. However it is much more profitable than the 35x25 or 35 x20. This is my answer to the higher spreads. More levels taking profit. Its first day of testing was stellar. Despite the hits, lost internet connection, and widening spreads it came in with a 54.00 profit. Indeed worth looking at. Again this is live testing not a demo. I have attached the chart and the two EA for testing on your part. Lots .05, multiply 1.4, TP 50, reenter 11. I forgot to put a stop loss in but anything 200 or higher should do.

My idea on this is to have 4 winning trades when you go to deeper levels and try to overcome some of the higher spreads. So far so good. Please put the figures into FrostCalls excel program to find your tolerance levels.

It was a rough day, that is for sure.

I seem to have had better luck than the majority of you guys. I feel a little gulity posting this graph after seeing all the other ones.

Hopefully the rest of the week will be nice.

Call me Nostradamus. ^^
I've had 3 demos trading from 0 GMT which was bad. ( 250 , 500 and 10k$)
Next I opened another 500$ and a 5000$ account at around 13 GMT.
They have been profitable so far. 22$ on the 500 and 220$ on the 5000$.
The accounts that have been burned gained ground rather quickly but interestingly the 10k account which was at 8955 this morning and gained back around 200$ over the course of the afternoon but is now at 8500$ while the other ones are still making money.
