This was an all 5 min THV trade and I was in agony for about 30 mins...I am through with getting in on divergence when red trix crosses 0. Even though that is the tipping point, from what I have seen, it takes some time for the boat to fill up and capsize...I could have/should've just waited for the THV setup and rode down gently...

My THV system looks quite different. It has normal candles, and does not look like how Cobraforex showed it on his website, or like the posts being made here.I have gone over the indicators severally to discover the problem, to no avail.
Second make sure that you don't turn candles on. The default for the template is Line Chart. Don't change that.
If you have more problems, post it here and the team will help you.
I have been testing this method live this week and find that it gave great results when using 15 min TF to enter and using 1 hr TF to exit when the [font=Arial]price passes the blue (aqua) T3 line. Excellent work. I do find that if you use the 1 hr TF to enter that you are late and missed most of the move. I do find that if you use the 15 min TF to exit, that you are leaving a lot of money on the table by leaving too early. Any thoughs? Great work Cobraforex. I also agree that it is not good for EA trading, as it requires some experience in not...

Well it certainly wasn't the prettiest setup. I try to take the best ones, but that doesn't mean I always do. It's that "itch" to trade that can cause me problems.
LOLI need to stop trying to get in early...it's not worth the stress...
Just wait for the THV system to tell you to get in....

I got into a usd/chf short based off of a 15 min trigger, now watching the 1 hour chart for my exit. I did some looking into the past and noticed as soon as the one hour bar closes a different color you can take profit, go back to 15 min and wait for rentry if the trend continues...
Using this on 15 min is much easier for me too, I actually have some time to think

First make sure you have the latest version from cobraforex.com
Second make sure that you don't turn candles on. The default for the template is Line Chart. Don't change that.
If you have more problems, post it here and the team will help you.

I walked out for about 30 mins and was just about to send a snapshot of the exact trade you posted...I missed out on it but caught some on the reversal...THV rocks !
I would suggest, polonaise, for anyone else reading the threads...draw the trendlines on the trix, chart and indicate on the chart the THV entry whe you want to post. That way everyone gets the right idea about divergence and the THV entry points....... let's give back to those that are new to this...
I love divergence; not diversions !!

Its definietely safer to wait till HULL changes at least yellow.
And here is another one
We're having a BBQ at my house and everyone keeps distracting me !!
I am gonna just wait for red hull red candle...
The question is, does the market give this many opportunities on a daily basis? I am not sure. If you take a look at the 1hr chart, you'll see it was seriously trending...those small reversals, I think, are the reason for the divergence - again, I think and am not sure.
I am not sure if there would be so many of these trades on a day when the currency is in a narrower range. I think I'll go back and find days like that and see what I find.
Anyone's input about the frequency of divergence and the large trending moves of the currency and any correlation would be appreciated.

Sorry for my absence but you know that my rule #1 is not to post and read when I trade.
I was back reading a bit what you guys and gals where writing here and I must say some really got it and others are on a good way.
THV isn’t a push the button and forget system.
Here we learn the importance of Fibs, Pivots, RSI, Trix, TL’s, HL’s and divergence, in other words the basics that you need to know in FX and I want to thank all the traders that contribute here their experience on THV.
This thread is still clean, with clean I want to say that we follow the rules and don’t add more indicators than necessary. Why change something that works?
Once you are able to make your bucks with THV and what you learned you are able to trade other systems as well because you know WHY you pushed the trigger button.
I’m very happy about the learning process, especially of Cashmeer who remembers every word I wrote on post #75.
I have nothing to add for the moment but want to post a pic that shows different divergence, the classic (regular) and the hidden.
The hidden divergence is a continuation signal !

Good idea is to wait for the retest and enter on THV confirmation.
News related moves mostly don't retest after break but I always recomend not to trade 15 minutes before and after important news, after that trade the reaction, not the news, like Suntrader says.
We have seen lately more than enough a dollar strength after bad USD news.
