All the different feeds I get have had higher spreads than normal and ibfx is still the lowest of them. While someone claims another broker has had a 'lower' spread at 20 that is because they have a fixed pip spread. I'd say we are going to see this the entire month of dec. because historicaly volume is low and we have seen that so far.

edit: For those of you who are afraid IBFX is screwing us it isn't true. All of the different ECN feeds I get vary from 10-40 spreads as well.

My account went 10 levels deep this am.. I was prepared to let it hit the 200 SL. but like I said, it retraced enough to get out with a small loss. Would have actually taken profit if I would have left it alone. Mult. factor is 1.4.

No. IBFX isn't fixed pip spread. All feeds have had high spread, every ecn feed I get besides hospot also has a 15+ spread. It is the low liquidity in the market right now. Remember people... its december.

I asked becoz i saw it become fix 20 pips spread for a few hours. If the whole of Dec gonna be like this, it gonna affect our profit. To what extend, i don't know. Now we need more pips to TP. It's kinda crazy. From the initial 11 pips spread to now around 20 pips. Maybe we should change to AUDCAD ?

It might actually get thinner as the weeks go on. I'm most likely going to take the last two weeks of Dec. off from trading, depending on what kind of average spreads we are looking out.

Aud/Cad works out sometimes but it has a larger range so we would need to change the settings some. I'll take a look.

edit: So far though my profitable hasn't been all that effected. I made a plenty good amount today and yesterday.

added edit: I've done some testing and I'm seriously thinking about adding Aud/cad in with the same settings I use for aud/nzd during my 24/5 period, which is the 50x20 one. The pair would get a very small amount of lot size %. details added to my sig.

i was planning on going live next week but if the spreads/liquidity remains the same might have to give it a miss till january... or run the 50x20 audnzd that verto uses (if you dont know look in his sig).

i don't think it's worth trading AUDNZD with 20 spread and so slow movement. Now might not be a good time to start ur live trading.

I agree. Worst part is, the spread kept changing during US session, even touching 50 at times. I earned 10% last week, and this grail is starting to disappear!

As long as the pair continues to move the way it has the 'grail' will always be there. It is the matter of liquidity it isn't so much as the 'grail' diisapearing, but of a means to attain the eternal drink that the grail holds.

When we have unreasonable expectation, all these doubts arise. I know it can produce 5-10% in a day on an normal day, and I want it to be that way forever! Few of the lessons I learnt are:

1) No point sitting in front of screen and waiting impatiently waiting for things to happen. No use fiddling with your settings frequently.
2) Close you positions and start afresh whenever possible if you are profitable on the whole, so that you will be at the latest range on the chart.

Hi Bob,

last night I set up 2 new charts and put the EA's on then started them up, but only the buy one worked, I removed the sell one & put it back several times, but to no avail.

This morning I tried again, but this time it would only sell & I couldn't get the buy EA to work, so I took it off & put it back on again a few times, and eventually they both worked,

my question is, should the both start up at the same time or is there something to do with stoch or MA that prevents either one from starting?

Question: How would you trade multiple InterbankFX Accounts with this EA at once?
Since you can run only one instance of metatrader I see a problem there? Multiple PCs?

Balance now 653. Started with 500.

you don't really believe this do you? there are about less than 100 people in here following this and out of that i bet only a handful are live with it. if you think that makes any difference in the market at all you are wrong. i know they say that every penny affects the market - whatever - we don't mean crap.

what do you mean. you can't run multiple mt4 with live ibfx? that is exactly what i plan on doing when i go live with this ea.

I have several demo mt4, why couldn't you do the same with live?

or you can just add accounts to the already existing mt4. i think several accounts can be ran at the same time and not effect the others. at least that is my understanding

what times are you guys trading this and what settings are you using

I am using standard settings - not touching a thing - and trading every session but USA. Staying out of it COMPLETELY.

I have a 7000 demo and the biggest equity drawdown was 2 days ago and it was 1114.67 it came back to only lose 35 on the day.

From 11/24 to now, it has only gone 7 levels deep. why am i seeing things differently than some of you?

This is all in demo but that shouldn't make that big of a difference?

btw: just closed positions because USA just opened, UP: $83

i had the same problem as you a few weeks back. The sell ea that uses .01 is apparently not working. Download the sell ea that uses .02, and it will work. All you do is to change the trade amount of .02 to whatever amount you want.

I'm trading the 50/15 all week including the US session with no shutdown unless it gets into trouble like yesterday. I'm turning EA on sunday night as soon as spreads narrow and off fri.when I see a good exit. Settings 50/15,mult. 1.4, 10 levels,200SL,.05 lots. $3000 account has grown almost $400 in two weeks.

PS. I have been using...
I dont know, never had that problem. Download a fresh copy of MT4 from your broker and see if that fixes the problem.
