This time, GM Chief Rick Wagoner will drive a company car to Washington instead of flying by corporate jet as he seeks a government bailout, a spokesman says. Wagoner will drive in a Chevrolet Malibu hybrid sedan when he makes the 520-mile trek from Detroit to Capitol Hill, General Motors spokesman Tony Cervone said Tuesday.

Ford Motor CEO Alan Mulally also is traveling by car from Detroit for his second appearance before two legislative committees as the Detroit automakers seek $25 billion in government loans.

Chrysler CEO Robert Nardelli will not travel by corporate jet. A spokeswoman says his travel plans will remain secret for security reasons.

What?? After being shot down for using corporate jet.. Now they try to appear dramatic by showing up like a f*cked up poor CEO who cant afford economic class plane tickets??

Funny how in the states its all about putting up a dramatic show. Nobody cares about good corporate planning to bring the company to compete with Toyota and Honda. They just bluff with something like "give us the f*ckin money.. or we will sacrifice the workers". If they got the money, they just spend it like they won on lottery and store the skeletons in the closet for the next CEO.

Yup... Wagoner is gonna drive for 10 hours LOL.... I think travelling with him it will be a great opportunity to learn new curse words

I found out the chrysler guy is traveling incognito... they won't let him into the KOA campgrounds tho, so noone knows when he'll actually get there... could be too late to strap on the feedbag.

I don't get why he put a sign on the burro saying CEO tho... (I know, i know, but it's close)

A almost non-existent week for the forex market so far... Euro is putting the 6th week going nowhere even with today's rate cut.

Guess who is complaining that condominiums in Donald Trump’s latest big project are ridiculously overpriced.

But he isn’t cutting the prices. He says the banks won’t let him.
The project is the Trump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago, which is to be the second-tallest building in that city (after the Sears Tower). By Mr. Trump’s account, sales were going great until “the real estate market in Chicago suffered a severe downturn” and the bankers made it worse by “creating the current financial crisis.”

Those assertions are made in a fascinating lawsuit filed by Mr. Trump, the real estate developer, television personality and best-selling author, in an effort to avoid paying $40 million that he personally guaranteed on a construction loan that Deutsche Bank says is due and payable.

Rather than have to pay the $40 million, Mr. Trump thinks the bank should pay him $3 billion for undermining the project and damaging his reputation.
