Just received this:

-- The U.S. entered a recession in December 2007, according to the National Bureau of Economic Research.

And it seems "2007" is not a typo. This guys take a year to confirm a recession?

Well, the good news is that we are likely in full recovery by now. But we only get to learn that a year from now...

US is becoming more and more a joke, ya know? You guys should consider Seinfeld or freaking Jack Black for President next time...

Democrats in the House likely will seek passage next month of an economic stimulus bill costing about $500 billion, a House Democratic aide said Monday.
The aide said the package would include the cost of a middle-class tax cut that President-elect Barack Obama wants, billions of dollars for road, bridge and mass transit construction, aid to states and investments in renewable energy development.
Earlier Monday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told reporters she hoped Congress would have an economic stimulus bill ready for Obama to sign when he takes office on Jan. 20. She did not provide details.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson said on Monday that more programs are being developed to stimulate lending but warned a severe financial crisis is stubbornly persisting.

Why the hell they just don't put in place a $1 tera-giga-billion plan under "general bailouts" and we move on!!!

And Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke is just as guilty.“I’ve only seen this brutal combination of arrogance and ignorance one other time,” Cramer said, “when President Hoover was telling us the fundamentals were sound going right into the Depression.”

Of course, we’re not headed into a Great Depression right now, but things were dire for a while there. So how is that Paulson and Uncle Ben didn’t know?

What really pisses me off(besides my lost job-tanking economy-world outlook ) is when these folks are done giving their speeches(almost 100% BS) they leave in chuaffer driven limos. They dont worry about their jobs.Their families wont suffer. Maybe we(the people) should hold these same people responsible(at least partly) for our current mess? I went a good week without hearing the words Sarah Palin. I hope she gets lost somewhere out in wild next time she goes hunting from an airplane. Dow hit the 50% fib level of the last two weeks.

Things are so screwed in NYC, that we can't tell if today's +270 is just 38% fib retracement from yesterday's -700 or if yesterday -700 was 61.8% of last week's +1100....
