Completely off topic, but I just noticed that Numbers and Excel handle the ROUNDUP function differently. Also, many brokers handle the rounding differently, so your numbers may not exactly match what you see on the spreadsheets.

I am leaving for HK in two hours so I closed my trades for today. I wanted to prove you could trade my EA from the JPY open to near the USA open, consistently make money using a small amount of money. I started with 186 dollars in a live account and closed after two days with a 67.31 profit. Here is the chart. Instead of betting it all with one big account maybe 3 small accounts will do it for you instead. Just a thought.

Also, except for the USD pairs, none trade at an even 1.00 a pip so that effects the numbers also. Frosts program gets you a close idea not an exact figure.

Hi,

I just have one questions about trading times. The asian open is 0 GMT, and the US open is 13 GMT, right? I got confused with DST.

How long before the US open should I close trades? Start at 12 GMT? If I have open trades at 12-13 GMT, should I close them or let them run and just turn the EA off?

i know i start looking to close off for the night 2 hours before US open, depends how much negative balance uve got, how many levels deep, ur daily % goals etc

Hi Charles,

I started with 5000 @ 100:1 and trading dimes. I did it this way due to the fact that the ratio would be the same if I were trading pennies on a 500 account, obviously just with an extra zero.

For interest's sake on my 5000 account trading dimes, the biggest margin I've seen was 40 bucks and the biggest TOTAL draw down was about 100 bucks.

I try to be out about an hour before the US session. But I think White has touched on a good point here. Try to be out before the US session, but that does not mean you have to trade until that time every day. Set a realisitc target of what you would like to attain on a daily basis, once you achieve that target, get out and live to trade another day. Even if you reach target an hour into your trading day, close out.

Don't be greedy, the rest of the day could turn against you badly.

yeh amen to that id also look at the settings finder thing that i think frost made up... id reccomend trying to keep a certain percentage drawdown relative to capital... ie on $500 trading 0.05 i think at level 7 u get stopped out for a 14% hit on ur account.... choose ur acceptabel percentage and it will dicate lot size.

Plan ahead and do a sensitivity analysis of the forecast growth of your account and at what figures you will increase lot size, and ur daily profit target.

To those trading the 35/20 ,default settings, with $500 during the Asian session only. What has been the lowest free margin level you have seen? I think we're going to have to watch that when trading only $500. My lowest I've seen was 2746%. I'm still hoping FrostCall can come up with an indicator to track free margin. AFAIK you've made a mistake there White, if you got stopped out @ level 7 on a 500 account you would take a knock of nearly 50%, $241 to be exact.

I'm not sure what my lowest free margin % has been, but the most margin I've used has been about $100 on a $5000 account. So I gues that would make it about 5000% I think.

I've grown my account from 5000 to 5669.44 in the last day, bear in mind however that I trade the last 2 hours of the US session right up until about an hour before the US session starts again

I think this is by far the best EA developed by NanningBob to date. So much so, that I plan to finally go live tonight after watching it for the last 2 days. I have a live account at IBFX with $2,000 in it. Since Bob is on vacation, maybe Verto can answer this. Do you think .20 minilots would be safe to start with?

I also plan on going live very soon. Using the original setting of .05 netted about $45.00 from the Tokoyo session to the US open, when I closed all trades. I would have to think that going .10 would double this amount. Knowing that If you're completely stopped out it costs 50% of your capital, this is something to plan for. Another great EA by bob. Hope Bob is having a great vacation!
