Technically, the UP trend(line) on the GBP/USD (daily charts) that started in April 2006 has been seriously violated, so the next few days will tell us if the bull market on the cable is still intact or if a reversal is imminent...

Or if a change of trend has already started after top of 1.9914

Agree for longterm picture it is still premature to call uptrend over but I believe there is a good chance it is. I think correction should bring cable down to 1.8200 area but take about 6 months or so.

Be careful, the GBP/USD is a wild beast that (unlike the well-behaved Yen) produces many false double-tops, if this is what you are thinking about.
