Looks like some trader tried to kill himself on the Brazilian exchange. He shot himself in the chest but was later saved by fellow traders.

Citigroup CEO Vikram Pandit plans to make a dramatic statement Monday morning about major cut backs in the struggling firm's workforce aimed at calming market fears.
"The object here is for people to take notice," said one person close to the company. "The exact number is still a moving target but it will be dramatic."

Our press usually don't report suicide attempts. They say it may encourage people into it, you know, those who are chickening out for a while.
I think they are right.
Although, they report some nasty violent stuff here, like a guy who made his ex-gf hostage for 5 days and ended up killing her. Within the following 10 days, there were like other 5 similar cases. But as the kidnaping was being reported live on National TV 24 hours a day, they decided for audience (
) over ethics....But no sir... suicide attempt, no sir....
