Another example of PA on short timeframe, this time at a big PPZ. I don't usually trade this pair on short timeframes but this was too pretty to pass on. This is a good example of A++ pinbar on any timeframe in my opinion.

After having closed half of the position at 1.49, the BEOB which has just popped up gives another possible entry within the original trade, an opportunity for those who missed the flight earlier

Another sweet looking BEOB on the Chf/jpy 4H chart which very much fulfills the need for a PA setup i was watching keenly for after the traingle breakout, Mike you there?

Here's one really nice setup I see. Daily Eur/Cad. Triangle formation (Inside Bars) in a downtrend, which is usually a continuation pattern. I would go short on the break of the IB4. 1st profit target around 1.4720. I would ignore a break to the upside. Anybody else like this one?

1 more nice pb on G/J 15 minute chart. Pin at PPZ. Last one like this I'll post so I don't clutter the thread. These are what really nice PB's are to me on any time frame.

Result of trade. I learned almost everything I know here on this thread and I'm starting to see some nice results now that things are sinking in. Hopefully I can keep my discipline and not overtrade. Thanks everybody who posts here!

you have'nt done anything worng benem, this is all a matter of differnet feeds that's all! just don't worry atall, wait for PA setups on your charts and take them then...

Glad it's working for you Betard, but make sure you know what you're doing, something which is a prerequiste for any trader but specially for the one who is still a newbie and decides to go on to a lower tf as low as the 15min. Remember short term success has nothing to do with how successful you'll be in the long run.

I am not discouraging you atall, just wanted to remind you that you've taken up a real challenge for yourself and assume you're ready for it and for which i wish you all the best!

Thanks for the advice. Yeah I know low TF's are typically more difficult. I usually only trade them when it looks (to me) to be a very high probability trade. I also trade higher TF's. I'm trying to get a feel of the market on both long and short time frames to make me a better/more versatile trader, so I'm willing to put in the work.

Hi all,

So doing my best to stay away from the lower timeframes. Couldn't see any setups on the dailies when i pulled my arse out of bed at 6am this morning (not exactly 9-5 this trading stuff )
Fingers were getting agitated so ended up taking 3 trades on the hourlies - 3 pins in direction of trend. Reasonable setups I think seemed to be some confluence of fibs and S/R.

GBPJPY = 265 pips
EURUSD = 23 pips
EURCHF = 10 pips

very happy with the GBPJPY - I pulled the plug on it as i need money in my account to allow me the better setups on the dailies

the other two were poor trade management. I moved my stop to BE too early, when i could have just taken half off when it started to stall. Then when it retraced i started to panic that i was losing profit and closed them.
I could have just closed half and then see what happened, but better still would have been to leave the stop where it was and then take half profit - I think.


Now if i can keep myself away from the lower tf I might be onto a winner.
Why didn't you guys tell me earlier

....also took this trade earlier
break of BUOB off pivot level (black dotted line)
wasn't expecting it to do much as this pair doesn't seem to move that quick
but still made 80pips before losing my nerve as couldn't see the next target area or level.

so only took one trade on the 5min tf (which is very good for me) today
made 3 pips/points before lost my nerve.
so that's 378 pips (calm) v 3 pips (sweating)

Definitely coming to conclusion that higher tf is way forward.

not posting to gloat - just trying to make this sink in in my head

It looks to me that GBP is on a free fall and I see no major resistance till 1.3900 area.
What's your opinion guys on this one?

Hi all,

New at this (trading naked that is) so please treat me gently!

Sticking to 4hr charts for the time being and think I may of spotted a buy on what looks to be a nice pin_bar formation.

Just would like you experienced chaps to assist me please

Would like any opinions good or bad, I can take it
