Hey CanuckCT,

Just an observation on the GU trade in post #1904, it appears you entered your losing trade after a "spike", which positioned your entry a significant distance from the triggering event. From a previous post (forgot the author), it was cautioned to wait after a spike for a retracement before entering.

Yes jmf0805 - a risky trade and not strickly fxprime, although I'm using the FX prime template to take it. I trade FX prime 2 ways...one on the cross of CCI170 past zero, that's the agressive one and the second is CCI34 crossing zero in the direction of CCI170.

I did have a loser on GU but stuck with it and got it back. Lucky. Sometimes you can have 2 or 3 losers in a row trading like this and it's not for the faint of heart. Most of my losing trades are like that GU trade where I'm trying to catch the breakout into a trend the other way. it's agressive but can be profitable. If you are new...I don't recommend it on your live account until you have a good money management strategy.

CD, this system is great.

but we have to manage the exit point manually... by six sense perhaps...

if candle continue for 7 BAR but not yet reach ur profit target. you exit.

if price is near to FIBO, regardless breaks or not, exit.

ok were using the 170 as a filter, to set up high probability trades, those type of swings are going to happen and do. you can not bank every pip offered on a chart, were here to bank and trade the highest probability trades. over and over. there are times u need to sit on your hands and wait on market, thats how it works. a lot of newbies over trade and have to try and trade every turn, watch out that will bite u in the ass quickly.

there are times I might take those swings when the ma's are not lined up, but it has to be a very nice signal, i'll never take 1st signal, I like trading 2nd move on those and if i'm going against the ma's it's a straight +10 pip tp every time.

ohh and lol ...a lot of time, were trading the 1 min charts lol, nothing takes a lot of time. try trading the 4 hour and daily charts, you can see a trade setting up and might have to wait a day or 2 till you get your entry signal

Hi guys. I've actually asked this question a few days ago but no one answered. I'm having probs with my stop loss and would like a few of the experienced traders to share what works for them. The system is a winner but my stop seems to be a bit tight i use 10 pips, am i getting it wrong?
10 pips a day keeps the blues away!!

well I'm a newbie and got lost on a choppy market when I enter on every signals... of course I was trading the whole day and at asian markets too... I agree that my ass got bitten more than enough times

after learning from my mistakes, I get to choose when to trade or not to trade... not every signal is perfect, but when it's on, it's on, the Risk to Reward ratio on CD's system is very high, an SL of 10 pips is all that it takes, of course we have to see the market volatility too

Now I'm focusing myself in following the rules, I didn't yesterday and I wiped out my profits from the London hours.

Yeah, I was almost on the wrong end of it.

PS: I managed to ride the EUR/JPY short for 176 pips and the USD/JPY short for 70.

Not with this system though, with the 5 min trendfollower system, although, I didn't follow the rules as it was such a good opportunity to miss.
Starting to see instead of just looking.

Yes FX is cool cause it was 2 great news today one on GBP and other On Eur , for cutting the rates , so you either know how to trade the news or avoid trading in that period

Sometimes I need a poke in the eye not to trade against the rules of a system. So I'm using a moving average indicator that colors the candles and I can only trade in the direction the candle indicates. If I'm wrong on the agressive trades, it also gets me out early.

I've also changed to white background so i can print a few of these without all the black backgrounds.

For the traditional trade I check the HA candles with another template, then I revert back to this one once the trade is in progress.

Great addition to CD's setup. I added the HAS candles to the chart so I don't have to switch back to another chart and added the 170sma and 34sma to define entry with CD's entry rules.
