Hello everyone I am new to Forex and I am looking on how to get started. When I say started it means from day 1, what is the first thing I have to learn?

Babypips is the first step, then open a demo account and start getting used to the platform and how to open/close trades, set stops, targets and so on.

Stefy the first thing you do is practice and read, do them both and at the same time that way you can practice what you learn. Its working for me .

No Terry, it is not funny - it is actually pathetic. That someone would want to enter into a business such as this and not even so much as care to learn the basics.
This business has as participants some of the best and brightest. Those coming into it with the idea that this is just some sort of great big interactive internet game just makes me sad. Better they donate their money to the homeless or some such charity.

No. You can't study FX and there is no place, no school or university that will teach you how to trade money.

You asked for help.Tjpld answered and told you to go to babypips.--Good advice...Have you done that?

The thread then went on a journey of its own..as most threads on here do!

MrGreen,who is one of the best people on here for helping others,has answered a post that has been deleted and it has thrown the thread off track.

Go to babypips -go through the course-then get back with some questions.

People on here will always help people who help themselves

flyman and kellyk, oh jeez, where do I begin? Are you guys like, trying to score or something? I'm guessing you are guys because no woman I know would post such blatantly sexist drivel on an open forum.

First off, "stefy" is a cyber persona. The only way to prove beyond a doubt he/she is female (let alone a "young chick"!) is with a physical examination.

But let's assume stefy is, in fact, a woman. So what? Are you implying women are incapable of mental toughness? That women should be "protected" from harsh language or off color jokes? Horseshit.

The markets make no distinction between male/female, old/young, black/white. The markets are not polite and if stefy is scared by mean ol' opie999 (another cyber persona), she should find something else to do with her time and money. Maybe knitting or flower arranging would be more suitable to her delicate feminine sensibilities, ya think?
