Buying power in Nav appears to be a tenth of what it should be based on my acct value. I don't look at this number very often, so I wondered if something had changed. I'd hate to find out the hard way that it's now 10:1 margin instead of 100:1. Web site still says 100:1....

Its still the same here. 100:1

Spreads are hurting though. I only trade eurousd and usdjpy these days.
I see the platform has been down for hours with quotes showing as disconnected. Is anyone else having the same problem?

check the size of your contracts! you can customize that.

For my part, we'll chalk this one up to "user error" I've been very busy lately will be my excuse lol.
I have a live MB Trading account. I use ninja trader charts. Lately Ninja trader is crashing when connected to MB Trading (Navigator) after a while. Sometimes after an hour, sometimes sooner. I have been working with ninja trader support and the problem is .NET Framework 2.0 keeps on getting corrupted, even after uninstalling and reinstalling it.

Has anyone had this problem?

I would love to use navigator exclusively, but I really like the ninja charts. I've tried the new navigator version that is not officially released however the charts were not updating and I don't believe there was a save feature. I like to save the chart with my entries/exists and ninja charts are great for that.

Also strange is that I have a GAIN connection through ninja and it won't crash, only when connected top MB Trading does it crash.

I would very much appreciate any advice. I am a novice and need a stable environment to learn in.

I absolutely detest apps which require .Net, it just seems like sloppy coding to me, the fact that they couldn't do either a standalone executable or java.

Never had a crash with QuoteTracker in years of using it, typically with 2-3 simultaneous data feeds (IB, MBT, etc).

thanks for the response, my fear is switching from service to service will just waste time and cause more frustration in the longer term. Others may have issues as well. I'd like to think I can get this fixed. Last course of action would be to reistall the entire OS, I don't really want to do that, and don't know if that will solve the problem

Ideally MB Trading would have charts close to the quality of ninja.

Justin, any advice from you would also be appreciated
Latest version of .NET is 3.5 - did you try upgrading?

.NET framework has very little to do with crashing, if anything at all. NT may have some issues with MBT API, but it's not MBT's fault. You can't blame them for someone else's code. I use stand alone custom apps that connect to MBT via API and are written in C# .NET 2.0 and those are very stable.

thanks fiberangel. I agree that I can't blame MB Trading. My issue is I need decent charts that I can write text on, draw lines, save, etc...I'm really just looking for advice on what to do. If ninja can't solve this it seems I'm out of luck.

I don't know how popular NT is with MB customers, it would be strange if I was the only one with the problem.

By the way they also said something about memory being an issue. I have 2 GB RAM which I thought would be fine. (or does this refer to hard drive memory? Dell had me scan the drive and there were no errors )

Right now im looking at a 9 pip spread on the G/U with MB. A year ago hell even 6 months ago your spread were so tight. Did you guys loose a liquidity provider, or two? Any plans on working on spreads? I dont want anyone here from MB to take this as a bash you were always fair to me but common, commission (a high one at that) plus a 11 pip spread on the G/U. If bucket shops can have 3-4 pip spreads on the G/U almost all the time why cant a true ECN? I would love to trade with you guys again, but theres no way I can pay that much to trade. Out of curiosity, did you not notice the volatility lately? Spreads have widened across all instruments, not just FX.
