DislikedIf you use the MBT Navigator SDK, historical data is available, but not for FIX. That is coming.Ignored
DislikedHi Justin,
Does EFX have something like compensation scheme, like FCS in the UK?
Can I open a live account, and then open another account without applying from the start again?Ignored
Dislikedhey justin will the spreads for eur/usd which was 1 pip or 1.5 now be 2 it doesnt get lesser than tht????Ignored
DislikedHi All,
I wonder if any of you notice for the past few weeks or rather the past few months that MBT spread is very large ???Ignored
DislikedI routinely have an MBT quote panel up alongside both IB's feed and a Currenex feed. Rarely do the quotes differ to a noticeable extent between any of them, mainly due to the commonality of liquidity providers across all 3 venues.
The spread widening is market driven, due to the extremely heightened volatility (and loss of Lehman).
If that screenshot is from Friday, I'm not surprised. Friday was easily the absolute worst I've ever seen in terms of spreads during active market hours (again, across all 3 venues I use). I'm not sure how fixed-spread dealing desks are handling this, but I'd consider any spreads tighter than what the ECNs are showing to be a complete ruse.Ignored
DislikedThanks for the reply, the quote I have taken was on last Tuesday (7th Oct 2008).
Follow after that I have watch the quote closely and realized that MBT spread is very very large in during active hours.
I can further prove it by capturing 2 typical srceen shot on the MBT quote every day for next week to let those who are interested to know how bad the situation was. I do understand that MBT is a good broker that give good customers services but their spread are totally unacceptable for trading. A few of my close traders friend had the same comments and they have decided to open a new account on other brokers while keep MBT live account to monitor further.
I have observed this large spread problem long time ago before I bring up this issue.Ignored
QuoteDislikedhowever if the ECN broker cannot not manage their business well(as for this case) you can realize that the amount of risk when using ECN is about the same as those normal brokers.
