Hi Rb1

I checked to see if a skypecast could be recorded, but there is no way to do it. If it were; I would have helped Bill to set it up.

I agree that would have been cool if it could. If this goes well, Bill said he will consider doing it again in the future.

Is there any one at home with a video or audio recorder that could record it for you?

Sorry you will miss the first one

Maybe if you use and onscreen movie maker/recorder, it may be possible to record your own display while participating in the skypecast. Has this ever been attempted before?

Hi All,

Grateful for the replies/suggestions concerning recording Bill's skypecast. Wondered if anyone has found a way around it, Wish I could be of some help in that respect, but I'm clueless when it comes to most software of that sort.
If it's impossible would there be any way to disseminate the points that come out of the skypecast? I'm sure that there would be many people who can't participate, but would be dearly interested to find out what ideas were exchanged. I think that the open forum/chat approach could really be beneficial for everyone.
Thanks for your time.

I support that. My headphones, mike, won't function whatever I do. Don't know when I'll have the time to take the tower in to fix it.

BTW, my observations have shown also that the 4 pairs USDJPY, USDCHF, USDCAD and NZDUSD will update in VP 7.0 only after the CSI 6.05 pm data has been updated (unlike VP 6.3) -- waiting for this to occur enables a hassle-free update.

No other gymnastics are required around UA or VP to enable this.

It is surprising that no one from UA or InterMarket Tech seemed to know this.

Howdy all,

I was talking to Cyclone about holding an online type of seminar for using Vantage Point software especially 7.0. Sooooooooo being a Skype user I decided to have my 1st Skypecast. Having never done this before I thought it would be a great way hear instead of just reading how different traders are using the software. Anyway

I have scheduled a Skypcast at 11:15 est Sat 24th. The webpage for Skpecast is :
https://skypecasts.skype.com/skypecasts/home

Once there type in the search the word or words vantage point it will bring you to the link for our Skypecast

If U don't already have Skype you can download it here:

http://www.skype.com/download/

Lets see how the first one goes maybe it could be a regular thing

Hi Bill,

Just like to add my thanks for taking the time and trouble to set up the webinar/skypecast. An actual chat with someone is worth a hundred message posts!
I certainly got a lot out of it and will be doing some follow up research in a couple of directions that the webinar got me thinking about.
To anybody that was listening I apologise most profusely if it appeared that I was asking Bill too many questions, I truly hope that I did not deprive anybody else of the chance to speak.
Many thanks for your time.

Thanks for the charts, Bill.

How do you get the red figures on the taskbar when the indicators are negative in VP 7.0? Mine don't change.

Howdy Stoney, I have been always confused on position trading and the sort. I place my trades when there are 4 out of 5 of the Predicted indicators either Positive or Negative. The 5 indicators are the Predicated High, Predicted Low, Predicted Short Term Trend, Predicted Med Term Trend & the Neural Index. When 4 out of 5 of these are again either + or -, I enter @ the market when I analyze all the crosses @ 6:30edt, so most of my entries are before the Asian session begins. The crosses that I trade this way are the GbpJpy(the best so far this year), EurJpy, EurCad, UsdChf & UsdJpy. I am also a believe diversification is the key. These crosses I mentioned trade 70% or better winners but of course not all the same time so I may have 4 trades on and 3 of them are winners. Some of these trades are open for 1 day or on average 3 days so I guess you could call this Position trading doesn't matter long as I'm making pips. I also trade these positions in 1/3s. I have targets @ 50pips, 100pips & 150pips. I'm now testing using 1/4s and letting the last 1/4 run. I'm not going to go on about how many pips I have captured but I will tell U it's plenty.

Happy pip hunting

Bill

Howdy all if I can put in my 2 cents. I purchased Vp end of Aug for $3,000 and used a system of the 10day cross for some of Sept with some success. I then researched and developed a system which I have posted here with great success. It is trading the dailies so if U are used to trading the the 5,30,60 min charts it takes some getting used to with disipline to not tinker with Ur plan. In the past I had developed a system on the 60min chart not using VP that generated many pips but meant that I had to get signals during the Euro session and living on the East coast of the USA it can be a pain. So trading the Daily chart is really nice. I have also found that trading 1 cross is a losing plan. Diversifying is the key. As for me and my trading I am sold on VP. I of course would of liked to have bought it for less and who wouldn't but be it as it may I am happy with my purchase.

Howdy all,

That is a great question which method is the most profitable????
Well which 1 is I'm waiting I hope I don't step on some toes but if U own Vp and U are using a broker that supplies charts from their feeds get a pencil and paper and get cracking. I have the #s U are looking for BUT no matter what I post and U start using you will B the 1st to post that this method is useless when the 1st say 4 trades are losses and they will happen. Even if U have 80% wins U are still going to have 20% losses nobody has the Holy Grail. Thats why U need to do the hours and hours of painstaking hand cramping back testing with paper and pencil to build the confidence that this IS a good method and to stick with it through the drawdowns.

Also even before anybody worries about a method U need to make sure U have your head around a money managment method because without 1 U will not be here tomorrow. Take that from a guy that blew out 2 very large accounts :surprised and it was not because of not having the best system.

I am posting a website that has a money managment caculator that was given to me by Cyclone that will keep you from lying to yourself. We all have at 1 time or another.

This not directed to any1 in particular but a little advice from some1 that has payed his tuition to the school of hard knocks
