I really didn't see this one coming... Would be expected some bullshit along the way, but hey, there is no other proposal on the table!
There is simply NO OTHER option on the table!
It's not a matter of whether or not the plan will work. It's a matter of trying one last resource as an alternative of the total chaos.
Many congressmen said "we should not bail out those pigs at Wall Street". Ok, that's right.. WHAT IS YOUR PROPOSAL ???
We don't know if the crisis will worsen WITH the plan. But Dow Jones today (-700 as of now) says IT WILL WORSEN without the plan...
The bright side of it is that there is no more uncertainties in the markets: it's all fucked up now.Ignored

Todays big drop in the dow was an extortionists (read wall street) attempt to put fear in the market so they will pass this insane bill. Purely a blatant market manipulation.

The fight is fixed this round. Palms have been greased and this boondoggle is going through Friday. I would love a 'Rocky' style surprise defeat again, not good odds.

Oct. 3 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. stock-index futures climbed as lawmakers who helped defeat a $700 billion bank-rescue package said they may switch their votes today.
Citigroup Inc. gained 2.1 percent and Morgan Stanley advanced 1.1 percent after at least eight lawmakers in the House of Representatives who voted against the rescue plan this week said they now support the measure. Four others said they may switch their ballots on the bill, which failed by a dozen votes on Sept. 29.
*I heard yesterday that there are lawmakers who volted for the bill and now have chanded their minds as well. That's gonna be one tough Friday
I say it will pass (as I said on Monday )
