Betard, be careful not to mistake a pin looking bar for an actual pin. Remember the close and open of the pin needs to be within the prior bars price range. The tail, or nose, needs to extend out of the prior bars range, like the bar you are showing.

What Ryan does is what I think ultimately everyone needs to do. Is take the material they learn and formulate it in a way that works for them. I do exactly what both Ryan and James does. I look for breakouts with the trend, and use Price action to help me enter and exit my trades. Trending markets, that consolidate and breakout are my bread and butter. Ultimately though price action is your guide through these markets. It is just the way you decide to put it all together and that might be on the 5min, the daily, breakouts, using a system like the base, or the knife etc.

Attached is a chart of audjpy 4hr with a possible Bearish Engulfing formation.
If it happens, then I'm looking to enter on the retracement with TP of new low.
Any inputs on the chart is much appreciated.

id like to make a resquest here.

i am very interested in Ryan views or scalping and daytraing using PA. But in the other hand i thinkh there are a lot of people here that don't like the idea of mix scalping with long term trend trade, mainly because James said that never trades Forex on lower time frames.

what you people think about create a new thread about using this style? Because due to the frequence of trades it will really mess up with the thread. Imagine someone posting about the EURUSD weekly pin and when he came back to comment about it tehre are plus 100 pages.

IMHO is really necessary the division between < 1 hour and > 1 Hour (althoug i think 1 hour and 4 hour is acceptable in both).

BUT before it two things:

what are opinios about it form Ryan, Mike, James, Bundy, SL, etc.

and i think is a good idea that one those above create the new thread if decide for this idea.

so it would be a thread for high frequence PA and similar things. Even if new people like Vulcanarchi or others like to share something diferent it is ok, but without fight, simple show your views.

and if all you think this a bad idea and that short term PA should be discussed here i will deleted this message.

I think this is a BAD idea and here is why.

It's ALL price action, what I trade you can trade off the TICK or off the MONTHLY does not matter at all, I traded the S&P futures with this as well as stocks years ago. If you don't like looking at 5min charts I can photoshop in a 4hr over the 5min lol, it's really the same thing. Yes support and resistance is different but it just happens faster. A chart is a chart no matter the time.


P.S. I found 0 good trades today, 1st time in months. Strange market as I posted yesterday.

The PB touches the 5min middle bb line and breaks down below the 50ema for an easy 20pips or more.

could on 4h gbp/usd be a flag.. could the resistance to be broken in asian session..

or this on daily be a bearish wedge...

time will tell.. we will be on our posts with the sniper charged.

but it would be nice to hear lot's of thoughts and different opinions..

for a independent trader like myself this market's are becomming too hard to trade..

Just my opinion.
I keep an eye on all tf's. The 30m had a better look to me.
Not a good time of day for this i think but i'm in a period of forward testing so i trade what i see based on pa & take notes on what happens.

Ya Rusty I noticed the 30 min. and got back in 143.50 1/2pips(mbt pipettes!).

I'm just practicing using $1pips and holding out for 143.

Your trade earlier that I posted was super..just the kind I wanna look for.
