Today is the start of the big dog's trades once they come along. For the moment, I am still setting charts up while waiting for the open of it.

I've set up the gbp/usd chart for today and the only direction that I will be trading is short considering that is the direction of the larger trend (the 4 hour).

On the 15 minute chart, we are also seeing that the general direction of the emas that George uses is heading downwards and spreading out as well. This spreading out of the emas is showing that the trend is developing and moving further south.

I jumped into a position early on the nzd/usd so as to set profit as soon as we see the breakout. I based it on the price action of the closed bar and throughout the bar. On the breakout, I will add to these positions.

I am still waiting for breakouts on other pairs. The pairs I am trading today are the usd/cad, nzd/usd, gbp/usd, and eur/usd.

I've just entered a position on the big dogs eur/usd playout. It's going nicely and the first position already took profit.

I am also setting my stoplosses in the positive for the nzd/usd trades that I took prematurely as they move into breakout territory. once it breaks out, I will add to the position.

The eur/usd was just closed for 10, 15, and 25 pips. I'll be working with the nzd/usd now and the gbp/usd which just broke out as well.

Alrighty, update on those nzd/usd and gbp/usd trades. I lost a few bucks on the gbp/usd as I didn't pull the trigger fast enough. No excuses though, I just didn't work it out as the method suggests.

The nzd/usd trades are still running. I kept them open based on the 4 hour beovb at 12 o' clock. I added to them once we got the initial break and my stops for most of the positions are in the positive at the moment other than the positions based off the break.

Getting ready and set up for big dogs today again. i'll be working with all the same pairs.

I've closed out my nzd/usd and eur/jpy shorts for 250 and 450 pips respectively today. I am letting the gbp/jpy ride out for a few more days before closing out of the position.

Trades on the eur/usd, nzd/usd, and aud/usd were just triggered. I'm waiting for the gbp/usd to drop out now as I think we'll see quite a bit of movement with it.

If GJ closes around the current intraday low, we can get another sizable move to the downside IMHO.

I'm doing great Mike, I have been trading mostly gbp lately and it has been quite predictable. I wanted to find out from you if you use the 62ema on the 1h chart. It is quite a special ema especially for daytrading. I have been using mostly the 62ema on the 1h......50,5,10 ema on the 15m and also the 4h 50ema, 5sma and 10sma. I also look at the daily and weekly tf for better idea of direction. These mas have been respected so much over the past weeks. What are your thoughts on these mas...

Hey Infinity, I didn't forget about you man! I just had a crazy weekend to mix things up a bit haha I'll be back on later tonight to talk about the mas and my update for last friday on the big dogs trades that I took. Looking forward to another good week, best of trading to everybody.

I didn't wake up this morning as I thought the news over the weekend would take a toll on the markets, but nothing too wild. I just took a 4 hour short on the usd/jpy waiting for the pin to break down, then I will add my regular risk to the position.

Big Dogs, I took a loss last week on friday, I still have to post that up when I wake up a bit more and eat breakfast (well, lunch).

Hey Infinity, I've used the 62 before when I tested Rob Booker's strategy of 5/12/62. It does seem to hold fairly well when price comes around it.

The 50 ema works because it is used by so many I believe. I've known a few of the greats here to use the 50 ema over time as I've read about a billion posts since 2006 lol

I use the 5 ema to decide about retracements as price normally sticks fairly well to it.

Rob introduced me to the 5/12/62 stratagy at one of his seminars. I didnt have any succes with it..... how did you do with it?

I don't trade using it if that tells you anything, although I didn't really give it a fair shot as I was already making more profit with price action setups.

I just placed a short on the nzd/jpy as it is right at the top of the downwards trendline. My target will be around 67.50. Stops will be about 100 pips up most likely. Once the 4 hour chart confirms a bearish pin, I will place much more weight on the position.

BTW, the previous gbp/jpy trades and the usd/jpy trades that I had placed were closed out last week. the usd/jpy gained only 100 or so as I closed too early, not anticipating more of a fall.
