Yep, it's crazy. Stuff like this can really mess with current trends. I suspect that several of the gaps won't be closed today. Maybe we'll get a crude rally as well..?

Gotta tellya,

I wouldn't want to be in Bernake's or Paulson's skins at this point.

If they loosen things up, there will be a generalized crash, not only in the financial markets, but also people going down in flames of bankruptcy and the government will be acused of "inaction, should've bailed out and taken over everybody".

Now, the government is "bailing out and taking over" everybody, and markets analysts are calling the government "comunist"

Today both Obama and McCain are showing their best smiles, hoping to cash in more and more votes, so by 2009 one of them will get his ego fullfilled and will be ready to ...

.. well, to spend the next 4 years - maybe 8 - trying to figure out a way to solve this mess Bush has put the country into. And not a single thing else.

The almighty US of A will be alone on this one. This time, it was the US getting the flu causing the rest of the world to sneeze only. I don't see too much of a concern among emergent countries, maybe Europe will shake a notch, couple of Aspirins and vitamin C will be enough.

A guy here in Brazil, went to the gas station to refuel his car's natural gas cylinder, when the cylinder blew up spreading 107 kg of marijuana across the entire area.

The moron "adapted" the cylinder - cutting here and welding there - to become a safe hide for the stuff he had to deliver somewhere else.

He was arrested, lost the shipment, his car is reduced to a collection of 10cm debris.
