hi mcd,

good to see another malaysian here. welcome aboard.

first thing first, when you said you are newbie, what do mean by that? you just heard about forex? you are just a newbie for few months? few years? or you know nothing about forex?

so, for me, the first thing to do is get the knowledge. the best site? www.babypips.com

there, you'll learn a lot of basic and advance knowledge. after you have finished reading the site, then it's time for you to demo trade. best system? basic system? i think there is no best system. every system has its loophole. so, my advice, explore the whole FF and demo trade all the systems. try each and every technique in your demo account and see which one suits for you.

Try the demo for months then when you think you are ready, then, start with micro. build your confidence first. then, continue learning. learning never stop in forex. everyday we learn new knowledge. the market teach us how to react to certain certain condition.

so, one system can not fit for the market. You yourself have to twist here and there with your technique, then you'll master the game.

anyway, do not stop learning. Try to get as much knowledge as you can. I think, that's the best system. Your own judgement to the matket.

only my two pips. (cents)

lets pipping!

Hi MCD,

Welcome aboard. Dont be surprise if you come across many traders in Malaysia... Some active & some staying low profile.

Follow this thread as they's forex club at your place. http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=31737

Basically, there's too many methods listed in this site. Perhaps you may glance thru and pick few for startup on demo. Believe me, there's no 100% winning method. So dont think about making quick big bug here. Or else, you
may burn yourself out... ( I burn myself anyway )

Important rules : Money management, Patience, Practise, Consistence. Dont jump into trade because you want to. Jump into trade when the sign show you. Again, no guarantee of losing. Whenever you enter a trade, there's risk of losing.

That's my 2cents
Banker please return my pipins.

Today, no mood of scalping. Personally feels something missing.

Hehe, so I skip till next week. Overally this week result is good. getting 80greens. Traded 38, with 6 losing traded. I'm damn satisfy with the 84% winning rate.

Recalling last month when I started off scalping. It's damn horrible poor result. But, I'll pursue into this method properly until end of the month
Then I may go live if I can continously doing 80-90% winning rate.

Wish me luck ... . Although, there's many trending methods which are promising, however, I want to start with the lower TF. Once I've master this perhaps I will evaluate other trending style. Coz, it's kinda boring getting 3-4pips every trade hehe. Yet, I do envy when all senior here getting good 50pips everyday. But, systems is systems. Either we follow or not follow.

Rules : Patience, Practise, Consistent.
Important : Trading Plan, MM, RR, PA.
Banker please return my pipins.

hi all !
hope u guys got some meat last nite from the fantastic plunge of the EU n GU well the overall bias is still down IMO... looking to sell rallies

babyBoy,
yeah i initially started forex by scalping methods too... i traded the DEMO strictly taking into account technicals only. No fundamentals involved.. so i just scalp...then i later incoperated fundamentals into my trading style and moved to a higher timeframe... from 1min to 5min then to 15mins time frame... if u are looking to harvest more pips in a go i suggest u look into the higher time frames. i use the 15mins time frame n sometimes 5mins to pin point my entry, the H1 and H4 serves as a longer term trend.. i trade according to the trend on the higher time frame...

if its bearish (high time frame) = sell on rallies
if its bullish (high time frame) = buy on dips

but of cos my decesion making is always inline with the current economic indicator, but DO NOT immediately jump on a news release.. normally i would wait for the dust to settle down 1st... if there is no clear direction i just stay flat, if i loose the train then i'll try to enter on pull backs or wait for the next train

well, it works most of the time and i can harvest more than 100pips in a single trade when i get it right.

hope this helps, any1 out there wanna share thier mega pips harvesting techniques ? hope to hear from u guys too.

happy trading !

Due to the yesterday bullish retracement trend and further later another bearish continunation trend, I believed subwave 4 is already completed and looking forward for another retracement to complete subwave iv (cyan) before further bearish continuation to complete subwave v (cyan) in wave v/5/3 (magenta). Preferably, I'm looking forward for a major bullish retracement (magenta) or reversal (white) later today or next week referring to the alt count in magenta or white(truncated). Please watch closely the yellow reversal critical line. Otherwise we may see another bearish continuation to complete an extension of subwave iii (cyan) in 3 (yellow). Good luck and happy weekends.

hi Mcdegoh,

welcome abroad! hm.. i've noticed that u had stumbled upon babypips.com yeah, that was wat i did when i started forex not long ago... apart from technicals... u still need to take into account the fundamentals. in short IMO fundamentals is the DIRECTION and technical is the SIGNAL (correct me if i'm wrong guys )

well, there a quite a few gd books which i can recommend u to go thru... PM me if u wan the books, i'm sure when u finish going thru all the materials, u'll be ready... but do not rush thru it... make sure u understand and digest all that u had read b4 proceeding further... i took almost 3 months to learn...

happy learning !

Thx xeN0s, definately looking at higher time frame we can scalp more. Becoz,
it's a simple scalping method which is proven results, I will try to master it before jumping conclusion on trading higher TF. But for sure, news trading is not included in the system. Therefore, I will still forgo the news trading part.

I'm still trying to follow 100%, although I'm reaching 85%. So I still have some fun during news trade irregardless red or green. But when we trade live
we ought to be discipline. Making consistent pips is the main task. As for now
I'm trying to make it KISS for myself. If the systems in good. No point throwing it into the dustbin or make modification. But ofcoz, I've also include 15TF into my play. For 5TF, I'm taking averagely 3.5 and 15TF, I'm taking averagely 7. System says if can get out from the trade quickly.. better do so. There's still many to come.

Overally, I'm regaining my confidence compare to previously when I've blown away my small acct...
Banker please return my pipins.

I've been watching market movement for CABLE and Fiber lately. Major trend is bearish. I love the bear. Here is what we can do to trade easy and simple. Confidents play parts and reading a lot of news.

What I did:-

For GU (from the last lowest of the day, pull 100pips up and tht's the price to short again. SFB)

For EU(from the last lowest of the day pull 80pips up and that's the price to short again. SFB)

p.s:- Please bear in mind this strategy only happens now in the market condition when US is strong economically. When I use this I dont play with SL therefore my TP would be 70-80. If for some reasons market reverse by 50-60pips that is the most. Dont get panick attack by closing the position.
