EHeheh i'm already registered, but i really don't think my EA can win such kind of contests, last year the first one made something like 1000% in 3 months, that's not how my ea work, anyway yeah partecipation is free, so i decided to try it, why not

I think backtest isn't "good" not because you cannot trust on it, but because results are always curvefitted, it have nothing to do with real future trading, just try it yourself.

Thank you for your post, I must ask you though to please not post back tests as I do not believe in them at all.

I realize many have good modeling quality etc. but as a personal preference I would ask all who post here to post only EA's that are being used on live accounts as any other result is debatable/hypothetical.

I hope you will be able to post your EA's live account performance here soon.

Hey Trk, ok backtests are not soo good, but please this is a free forum, everybody is free of post backtests, forwardtest, charts, graphs, etc..

I've seen hundreds of 99% modeling quality EA with amazing profit factor giving nothing in forward test...backtesting is just good for ebay sellers...

No don't let me be misunderstood, i'm not saying that this should become a bull*h#t thread, but only that we live on a freedom world, and if someone want to post a.. also a backtest statement, if he really belive on that backtest and know how his EA work, and probably know WHY it will go well in forwardtest too, he may like to post a backtest, and there is nothing of really bad in this, this thread is "show your best EA", and everybody here is free to show his best EA.

If he believe that this is an amazing ea based on backtests, this is not interesting anyone.
If that feeling is based on real condition tests, ok, he can post the forward test !

Anyone is free to open a new thread claiming that he have the best ea in the world ! But right now, this is not the purpose of this thread...

you are correct this is a free world, which gives me the freedom to request only live results posted here.

At the same time if some one dearly wants to post their back tests they also have the freedom to start a thread and post what they enjoy.

So if any one feels my request for only live results infringes on their freedom , in the interest of peace, I would request that they express their freedom by starting a EA back testing thread.

Hey ok, that was only my point of view, everybody is free to think differently.

Anyway sorry, i didn't noticed that this thread is started by you, and that you asked to put only forwardtests from the firsts posts, so really excuseme for my last comments, i was not looking for create problems in this thread.

samclider is the first of many to start posting backtests.... it is the nature of a thread with this title....

kinda outrageous that trk demands live trading (to each their own) if it were me (it clearly isn't) live forward tests would be appropriate....

and you say this is on a live account? (otherwise, trk will have a seizure.)

my initial reaction to this equity graph was.... if it is demo, are you sure margin calls are being triggered where they should? i can't quite remember if my MT4 demo was automatically closing out margin calls that would have occured on a real account.

your risk to reward is extreme, but nobody can argue the phenomenal start you've had!
