la_maya, you can't after 24 hours of making the thread... twee will have to do it....

when you make a thread, if you change the title of the first post within 24, the thread title changes with it.

i don't know either as i have not started any before.

what i notice after my short stay in FF is that any title claiming pips or holy "G" will definitely go to the rookie no matter how good the system is.

PM Twee is my only suggestion.

Tdion is right, I'll suggest to let more time pass and see how the strategy unfolds itself. We haven't run into a bad streak yet, but thanks Apocalypto for your confidence.

You assumed I didn't know whether Tom Yeomans was an alias for Felix Homogratus (his moniker is not "homophobe"). So, indeed, you were wrong on both counts.

You claim you don't feel like bickering; neither do I. I have apologized to Maya for dignifying your remarks.

You said you wanted to know if Felix was is really Yeomans or not. I was merely helping you with your education on the matter.

Bobcat, today seems to be one of those days you were talking about, when the range is already very big. It's dropping and dropping non stop right now. It's right now 4.39 pm, about 20 minutes more to when I am supposed to set up the trade. See what goes.

Instead of continually coming in here with negative posts. Why don't you make some constructive comments. actually i think it's best you leave this thread be as you have no real intention of helping.....

It's a system that is profitable if the players stick to the rules then there's no reason it won't continue to be..............

I would agree. You need a minimum of several months, and probably even a year or so to say a system really works. If it can ride out all kinds of market conditions and still come out, you may have something. Even at that, a system that has "proved" itself may not work in the future. For any programmers out there, how about an EA? This one has to be very easy to make one for.

Yep...the box range was waaay too big by GMT 900 to catch the runaway train. Honestly, I (didn't do a very good job of it) scalped the ride down for 24 pips and then again for another 12 pips. I violated the rules and used discretionary trading this week to almost make the 50 pips...my bad.

So, how should we approach using a certain maximum range as a filter? We could use something like this: take the previous week's average daily range (from Mataf), and if the that average range is exceeded by adding our Take Profit target to the current day's range, we could:

1) Not trade that day,
2) or lower the # of lots traded that day,
3) or lower the # of pips for the TP.

I'm not certain if I like the above approach or not. I don't always support my own ideas! LOL

I'm wondering how you and Micro and the rest of the gang fared? If you are negative for the week, this would be a good test for your money management strategy, but then maybe you aren't negative. Again, my results may be somewhat different from yours because I trade with Oanda.

I am excited about trading with you this coming week!

Do we simply continue to use your money management strategy to eventually gain last week's 50 pips, or do we also begin trading for the new week? In other words, will we have two trades running simultaneously?

If we are simply trying to capture last week's 50 pips, and not running two trades simultaneously, if we win those pips, say on Monday, do we then attempt to capture 50 pips for the current week? I suspect we would quit for this week, too, after capturing last week's 50 pips. Is that why the title is 150-200 pips per month?

I was thinking that if we make the 50 pips in the following Monday or Tuesday, then we can still trade Wednesday onwards to try to achieve the 50 pips for that week. But any later, we should stop and wait for the new week to start.

by the way, i think my comment about "proving nothing" is very constructive, because it negates your overly confident assessment of the strategy after 20 trading days.

i think you need 3 years minimum.... and even that is a bit to short a period for my taste.
