I am going back to some of the fine points of those posts which had helped me discovered new knowledge and improvements in my trading. I will put a screenshot of the post and the LINK. If you have any comments please put ONLY the link of the old thread here and comment on the original thread. This way, readers will be redirected to the old thread and credit will be given to the person who had contributed the idea.

Just me and I might be way off the path, but this is one topic that should have more interest than any high speed entry signal... Just me though and I've been wrong many times..

Not all indicators were useful but some do make life easier.

That lead me to www.forex-tsd.com and indicators like automatic pivots etc took of a lot of daily calculations

The journey began and I needed assurance.
www.fxstreet.com This was where I tried to study how some Pros analyses trades. I read their signal everyday and see their arguments leading to a decision.
A place I still refer to untill today is www.realtimforex.com
How do I use the signal ? For the beginning I used it only as a reference of the probable direction and their suggested reversal points. When my system gives a signal and it is the same as theirs, I took the trade.

I still look at analysis of these Pros. When they write their Long Term max high/Low I usually take that as a possible point of stop limits and exits. Same for mid-term and short term.

Looking beyond the signal:

Most signals that are given on a daily basis, whether paid or free, won't lead anyone far. One needs to know why the person is going to enter the trade. The signal provider will abort an entry due to certain circumstances while anyone who received the signal will enter blindly. But good signal provider will not give you their secret.

It is not difficult to find out why they are good. You have to do your homework and make a study beyond just getting their signal.

Even though one can make profits alone with signals from others, it is not enough. It is like giving food to the starving nations and not teaching them to grow it themselves.
Even though I have went through the lessons for once, I still go back to look at it and each time I might see new light in that lesson.

One of the places where I got some early lessons were from video lessons from the internet.

With reference to Example 6

One way to know the trend direction and to know whether it is continuing is the following.
Waves combinations making Higher Highs and Higher Lows in Up trend ( opposite for down trend )
Waves combinations breaking this pattern and breaking previous high and lows, trend weakening or reversal. ( opposite for down trend )

Following this, one will come up with a good system. Try to enter a trade only in the direction of the Higher Time frames for best chances of success.
I play it a bit with MTF indicators ( usually bars ) for entries.
Get one of these indicators from www.forex-tsd.com Put some time in the study and you will come up with your own best Holy Grail. Train yourself with F12 button on Metatrader.
I assure you. You won’t regret !!!

You can use break of previous high/low for entries or with moving averages. Use higher TF charts and remember ! In the direction of Higher or Major trend. I look for lower TF in indicators to reverse to Higher TF direction for entries

I had a MT4 broker who did not let me close to take my profit on a winning trade at certain times. Often the profit turn negative and by the time I was able to get out, it was useless. They just kept reqouting and freeze the platform. Yes - One final solution from the Magic Man was to hedge it on another broker that was not MT4 and take out the profit at a less volatile time. Yes - just paid 2 to 3 pis more but prefer it to watching 50 pips turn to zero

From his teaching I discovered how to trade the ema365. The meaning of confluence of s/r/MA's/Fibs. How to trade PA with confuence. Jim uses confluences to increase the probability of success with his PA. Even if you don't use PA, try to apply his use of confluences and ema365 to whatever system you are using and you will see how much more success you can achieve.

I trade his PA on daily chart. I try, if possible, to take trade only in the direction of the trend and also in the direction of two combined stochs of daily and weekly.

The following is my own analysis of the DOW now.
I personally don't hope it will come true. I am the last to wish any ill to the US economy nor to it's people. But if it is reality, I have to follow it. This is what I follow to trade my USD-JPY and EUR-JPY and GBP-JPY. For the coming quater, I can imagine that the JPY pairs will decline further.
( Note: My Elliot is useless. I base it on MA bounce and the ABC formation )
Gbp-Jpy =EJ x UJ
Eur-JPY=EJ x UJ
- meaning if the USD do stablise, I can imagine the GBP and EUR to drop soon.
- or simply only the USD dropping
- or both the majors and USD dropping against the JPY

I am using realtimeforex and they have the PRICE in both audio and visual form - every tick. To avoid always having to stay in front of the screen - but still knowing the price - I just have to click the audio button on the pair I want and I can hear the price while doing other things. This one at realtimeforex is Professional quality.
For those using Metatrader - MT4, I just found out all the files needed to get this audio or speech pricing - Quality is not optimal but still usable. IT SLOWS DOWN A BIT OF YOUR PC and in the middle of a speech pricing, trade execution could take second place. If one is not scalping, it should not matter. Here are the files and instructions.

SaySymbol Input parameters:

: Accept the default <true> for the symbol to precede the price, additional symbols may be added if required.
SayBidPrice: Accept the default <true> for the "Bid" price to be spoken, else change to <false> for the "Ask" price.

---- gSpeak.mqh
---- speak.dll
File "gSpeak.mqh" to be placed in subdirectory "\experts\include" and file "speak.dll" to be placed in subdirectory "\experts\libraries".
