forex news releasing??

I am new to forex world, help most needed. My question is that: is there free source to get instant forex news data after it is released? Say, i know there are types of news trading, but i found difficult to recieve the news data as quikly as within few seconds. If there is, please show me the link to it, software or XML feed or something helpful. Any help is appreciated!

The IB API has a news releasing event.
The breaking of a wave cannot explain the whole sea.

If you're new to forex (and maybe even if you're not), all you want to know about the news is when it is released so you can avoid making any trades around that time. Many brokers have a news feed service for their live customers, and there are stand alone news delivery systems which you can subscribe to which have varying delivery speeds. If you want to receive news as quickly as possible (which will be your edge if you're going to news trade) you're looking at anywhere from $200 to several thousand dollars a month.

You could always try to main page here at ff, they are pretty quick at getting the numbers out.

Respect to FF for conjuring up such an awesome calendar, but I wouldn't say speed is one of their strengths.

It'd be alot wiser trying to catch the momentum of the trade instead of jumping in right away. Chances are very high that you'll get raped by the huge spread and slippage. To catch the momentum you don't need the data within miliseconds.

Thank you so much for kindly reply! its not my edge, the news trading idea comes from http://www.forexpeacearmy.com, im not sure its anywhere else retail trader trading news like them, but it seems they put alot effort and their results proven pretty good. For news release trading, Im just curious, is it only big boy's edge to into a posiotion before all, are they suffering the slippage related problems as well? How do they put their orders? and say, a sudden down spike, that means no one in the market place to buy, but the spike has its distance, so there then is "buy" being placed, retail traders are common avoid news before and after 30-60 mins, so big sellers are only can be satisfied by big buyers, and is it a chance to glance the big money power? especially for some "black swam"-like news data. Just my little thinking, enjoy myself,lol
