That's fine. I think we can actually help each other to develop a solid trading plan including but not limited to a system that is price based or indicator based or both.

I must have been unclear, I don't want to develop a system, I just wanted to see if indicator setups where giving signals that price action could not. Obvously I have made my position clear, but I thought it would be a useful excercise in comparing methods.

It would be great if you give us an example with price action and then we seek for indicator based solution.

i am just using candle formation, and breakout of support resistance and fibo for target.

Yay! I am a Price Action Guy! Yay! I am an Indicator guy!

Honestly, what do you guys ge by arguing such a thing? A naked chart might be making you thousands now, so do many of the indicators out there...But at the same time, the same system is taking away money from many people too!!! It's not about from which school of thought you're from, but how much you actually master the tools of trade, Whether you're using indicators or trading naked chart, it's still not a holy grail..You can still lose money, so why arguing whose system is better than whom???? Whatever system of style you're using, everything still depend on you!! No matter how automated you system is, it's still coded and being monitor by you!! So, if you sux, you system will sux too.... Plain and simple...

I couldn't agree more.

I just tried to show some newbies who visit this trade that it's not about which system you use. It's about avoiding discretional trading.

I have difficulty believing that professional fund managers or floor traders say, "Hey look, my Short and Long Term MA's are crossing," or, "My RSI is overbought!"

Thanks very much for your quick response. I think there is no point to argue which method is better, relying on indicators, or price actiona, or fundamentals, or whatever. The important point is to stick with a solid approach to the market not to rely on your instincts or intuition or whatever you want to call it. Discipline, Psychology of trade, entry/exit strategy, money management, and risk management. A combination of all these help traders to be successful traders.
