hi,

Phillip: Thank you very much for contributing your idea.

Since your method looks pretty promising I change the indicator "EMA Angle" to fit our needs. Actually, it's kind of a dirty hack but maybe - if I am continuing with your method - I'll revise the script (throw some unused stuff out etc. ).
But anyway - it's working (I think). It uses radians instead of degrees, that's why the indicator levels are so weird.
Try it and give feedback - I'll see you later.

Hello, Your SMA Angle indicaor is very useful and appropriate for this method of trading.
I tried it. Here are some points
Other than Trend angle input, the reamining three inputs seems to be redundent. Do we have to set those three inuts to zero?
Can you have it in degrees? What is the radince equivalance of degree?
I have seen aother indicater (Not MQ4) that just prints the angle in the main chart itself gainst the MA. That could be nice.
Thanks,
-Chandra

Hi snoopy,

the new unlimited indicator is here in the thread, i have it in use.

And i trade with the system the lask week, the result is very well, but i don`t write it down.

But i can say, i have only one or two false trade, the rest was great.
I set the indicator angle to 0.22 and it give nice signals too.

Cheers and Sorry for bad english.

I just wanted to personally say THANKS to Phil and Dariuske for your time and effort put in to this method. I always liked this style of trading. I have used my own ideas and never had one that was this consistent, simple and straightforward. It encompasses all my trading styles that I prefer. I am absolutely in love with Dariuske's signals and MA angle interpretation given to us visually! Wow that is nice to see how that trade is evolving! Very sweet. I would like to know how Dariuske extrapolated numerical values into angle interpretation? That's clever.
I also would like to know how he was able to monitor multiple currency pairs all at once when looking at one pair. That is the holy grail in my book! I will bounce around and take signals like popcorn popping. I do what to add that I think if trading days were slow you could take a signal that didn't close in between the MA's but penetrated them. No big deal.....

Good work!

Hello Everyone:

I am still looking for someone who could write the code for this and make an Expert Advisor. I know how I would set it up, however, I can't write the code. This thing would work with the angle indicator and target about 6 pips at a time trading only with the trend. If this is done we could create a real pip monster. Any one else who can write code, lets get together. My e-mail is [email protected].

Thank you,

Jim

Somebody else had an issue that I am seeing when trying to insert the 21 EMA over the MAAngle indicator. The MA doesn't plot or go below ZERO. I looked at Phil's template and his angle indictor is labeled SMAAngle. Yet the one from Dariuske is called MAAngle. Is that the problem?

Any ideas?

Steinitz

Hi Phillip,

Thanks so much for sharing the system.
Here is some small contribution if I may. Hopefully it has not been mentioned in the previous messages.
Regarding measuring the angle of the 50 SMA I think you can have quite good results if you use the value of the HISTOGRAM of MACD(50,100000,9). The hight of the histogram will represent the angle. So the higher/lower the histogram, the steeper the angle of 50MA compared to 100000 EMA which is almost flat for short enough time interval. Yes it will be the angle of 50 EMA, but it will be almost the same as the 50 SMA , In fact it may warn you earlier for end of the slope. So, Put two horizontal lines at let say 0.00015 and if the histogram is outside those lines the angle is good enough to apply the other rules of the system. I created a "paint bar" in QT for easy visual sign.

Hope that helps.

Greg

It looks good. I like the hor lines to prevent you from making deals early in the move and towards the end of the move. It helps you get the meat of the move. Well done and thank you.

Hi,

Thanks for the contribution. I have question, I try set up MACD in my Metatrader, but I can't set up like as pic that you attach.
I set up MACD :
fast ema = 50
slow ema = 100000
signal sma = 0
but I can't set up the horizontal line and my MACD value not same as yours (mine are bottom line / fixed mininum 0,00899, fixed maximum 0,00985), while in your set up there are - 0,0003 to (zero line) to 0,0003. and in my MACD didnt have down slope.
So it the MACD value bellow 0,0015 it's better not to taking open position ?

(my chart attached)
sorry for my poor english

Any help will be appreciate ...

regards,
Okabija
