yes it does go up but lately it has lost the correlation to the dow. g/y is g/u*u/y. if you notice and look at g/u right now and look at u/y the both are falling and g/y will follow. but if g/u falls and u/y heads the opposite direction they g/y will head north like u/y would. how long have you been trading. ive been tradiing for about a 1.5 yrs now?
I've been trading for year and a half but I specialized in commodities, only recently have I focused 100% on currencies. My wife has been trading currencies the entire time. I would trade them off and on. I expect to trade currencies full time now and get back into commodities when the smoke clears.

what are the laws that prohibit us from trading dow index's? i dont know all the laws just wished my broker offers it. i have a demo set up with whc a broker from russia but i will not open a live account to them as i dont trust them. the demo account wont expire as long as you have a traded open.
I won't open a live account overseas again.

Its explained to me we can't trade dow, commodities, etc spot because U.S. has hard time taxing. I have a different opinion. Do you remember when Gold first became legal to publically trade? U.S. was a powerhouse then and prohibited our own citizens from trading while allowing everyone outside the country to trade. In my opinion it was a way for U.S. to form a wholesale market in due time, then opening a retail market in U.S. once they allowed us to at least buy gold. Rich get richer, poor, get poorer. I hate power

Back up above 214. I closed my short at 213.83. Now I'm hoping long will go good. Triple interest WED tomorrow so I see limited downside in the next 24 hours.

This thing should plummet starting WED night. Anyone see corelations that would differ?

how the heck did this thread end up down here in the rookie section??

Oh well, looks like she is heading for a little dip now. She hasn't been at extremes enough for me to trade since near london open last night. Maybe she will move enough to set up for a long later. I will wait and see.

i believe the correlation would connect with the dow when u/y will rally. if you noticed u/y has a hard time going higher therefore limiting g/y to head north. since g/u is a stronger pair right now and heads down, g/y will follow. when the time comes for u/y to rally then g/y will head north. we will know on friday when the important data will come out as to where this pair and other yen pairs will find direction.

geee... who the hell changed it... whatever the criteria was... then 99% of all threads should be in the "rookie" section...

I don't know why they moved the thread into the rookie section. They also moved my Gold thread to Members lounge. I guess maybe it because I have a limited amount of posts, but I've been trading forex for a year and a half, I guess that's still a rookie.

I guess the triple interest WED is not a big deal. I'm going to keep my buys open until tonight, see what happens.
