Hi all.
I have been reading this thread for a while now and must say how impressed i am by the work done and the results achieved. I would also confess however that i could not read the entire stuff, but would desperately need clarification on a certain point. Please don't send a reply asking me to 'read post .....' Please.
Ash insists that entry must only be done after the first valid signal has closed, ie, after we find a new Psar on the reverse side of a trend, supported by the right colors for both AC and AO, right? I really would like to know why this must be so. In doing a visual backtest, i find that everytime the Psar appears on the reverse side of an existing trend, at the open of a new daily candle, and both AO, AC and Stoch are in allignment, that candle usually goes in the expected direction for a good number of pips. So, why can't we enter in at the begining of that candle? Or does a sort of "re-painting" occur that makes visual backtests look so beautiful and immediate entry risky?
I'd be glad if someone can help me here. I'm trying to demo this idea, but would like to hear from the more experienced. I may not need to bother after that.
Thanks.
