you know the fx markets have a very fine mesh filter that they keep to ensure nobody dumb and non-serious tries to mess with them, it will do this by kicking silly ppl's ass that try to hit the buy/sell button on whatever moves 2 pips (qouting Jacko's wise words), these temptations will haunt you till you finally decide to leave the forex world and hand the winning trophy to this evil beast or you can fight and fight hard! punch the grinning horrid face so no teeth remain and then you'll see how cool it is to have the Alladin's Geniue in the face of your mt4...

yes it is the perfect combo, and with J16 one can learn how to do it... i have also closed the NZD short for 60 pips at 0.7550 but it is still going south together with aussie, im such a chicken sometimes but better safe than sorry (greedy)

Double bottoms, flags, scallops, wedges, head and shoulder patterns, dead catters, ....and a lot more... a fair list these days.

There's quite a few little tell-tale patterns, and methods of trading them, I've got in my head besides the bar setups we talk about here. Not to mention all those little situations you bank up and recognise as helping or hindering your chances depending on the instrument time of month or whatever. You got to be fully aware of your resistance support factors at the time before taking a trade. Know your chances.

try to kick start it off with that inverse head SHS on Gj weekly chart...

have these areas of resistance now become my support for purposes of placing a s/l? if so, is it best to place the s/l at the top of the region or below the bottom of the region? is this conservative? :nerd:

Hi,

yeah areas of resistance will often turn into sipport when and if the price decided to restest the level. as for yuor second question, yeah for long you need to have your stop just a few pips below the ppz just to be safe if the price tests the level, and again if it breakes it it's better to get stopped out, and you place your stops above the ppzs if you are going short.

BTW you looking for Gj long??

scroll down from where you type your post and you will find a "manage attachment" option.

Then “Select the image you would like to save:” Pick “Active chart” at “600 x 600 pixels” the click “OK”

Looks like the loonie wants to tag the 200 EMA (green) on this TBH (difference of 1 pip). Plus, cable looks like it wants to tag the 200 and 150 EMAs (green and red respectively). There is also some pretty good Fib confluence. Bars close in 10 minutes. Should I play a straight break or a break and retrace? A straight break is tempting; we'll see . . .

I'm definitely not suggesting that these are A trade setups by any means. Just making some simple observations.

There should be a manage attachments button at the bottom of the reply page ("Additional Options" section) or you can get to the manage attachments popup by clicking on the little paper clip in the toolbar above the text where you type your message.

I saw this as well but will pass. Look to the immediate left... sideways market. I would've taken this BUOB only if the bar broke out of the range.
