edit 11:02 gmt: took 27 pips (tl and round number) partial profit because of that sudden spike, remainding position to BE.

edit 13:16 gmt: closed 2nd half at 43 (higher tl), total 35 pips
That's a great trade, price retraced back to 89sma as well as 21ema to continiue its way, also with a pin bar.

We are still in the triangle waiting for a possible breakout. I switched to 1H and saw the morning star that formed and decided to take the odds on.
This is a positional trade to be part of the breakout to the top should it happen.
Will take 50% after 15 gain and set remainder on -15 for a BE.(Nearby TL was the reason for 15pips closure)

Enter 1.5860
SL 1.5837
TP 1.5900 and above

Edit 1
50% closed for 15pips. Set remainder at -15pips.

Edit 2
Price is squashed between the TL and 8ema. Break will come soon. Can be up or down. See second chart inset 2 hours after the entry.

Edit 3
Price reached 1.5885. Set remainder at BE and on 25trailingstop.

Edit 4
Price reached 1.5897 and stalls there. Set remainder on 15 trailingstop.
Set remainder at 1.5880. Will wait to see if 1.5900 will be breached.

Edit 5
Bedtime for me. Stoploss at 1.5880 and a 25 trailingstop set if it wants to go north while I am asleep. Will see tommorrow morning what has happened.

Price has reached 1.5935. hHve set stoploss at 1.5890 and remaindet at 35trailingstop.

Remainder closed at 1.5906

Total Gain = (15+46)/2= 30.5pips

I'm having trouble with this, using Updata if I set my MACD Histogram to 5,13,1 I get nothing th standard setting for Updata is 12,26,9 which gives a histogram which looks like yours, if I use 5,13,2 I get a very sharp spiky one but when I change 2 to 1 then it all disappears. What am I doing wrong?

Possible up movement?
I think it took alot of stoplosses.

Perhaps you need to contact with your broker, your chart is different, the big tail may cause some confusion. In my chart, there is no tail.

Hello Nigeleyre, you need to click on the attachement link to the thread and dowloand and save to your metatrader in expert/indicator the MACD V103 indicator to get the same MACD has everybody

Finally got one! This setup usually only happens when I'm asleep!
Entered at 1.5880 right around the 38.2 fib. Scaled out with around +40.
Looking now for the retrace and TC again.

Hi,
is anybody there using EA for closing partial profits ? Now , I am using artemis.System is very well done and documented, but when I run both for example EUR/USD and GBP/USD, EU runs OK ,GU gets confused after 3 minutes being loaded by closing positions out of settings.Do you guys have experience with that, or using another system ?

I just got a feeling.

If price is in clear bullish and bearish way, entry time always appears at 8:00 or 12:00 GMT+1.

If price is in consolidation that in not clear way, entry time always appears at 16:00 or even 20:00 GMT+1.

Is there anyone who has the same feeling with me?

EUR/USD Short trade 22/07/2008 at local time 09:31h

Setup:
Stop loss = 1.5941 (23pips above price)
Price = 1.5918
Target1 ema(8) = 1.5895 (23 pips), R/R=1
Target2 ema(21) = 1.5882 (36 pips), R/R= 1.57


Doji (Evening star, bearish reversal)

Price went up, stop loss was hit
Loss = -23 pips

Price now = 1.5885
Profit would be +33 pips

My setup for the MACD histogram = (5,13,9).
I don't use Metatrader4 and have the same problem.

This is very early in 'my thinking' here. Buuuuut, the EU 4hr is bouncing on the trendline and the 1hr 'might' be forming a doji giving a little return to the upside, again very early here but I'll keep an eye on it. What concerns me is the oil is falling so the greenback is strengthening. Keep an eye on crude right now if you can. The rules state that a close below the 21, then return back to it, then moving again so keep that in mind as well. Lot of talk that oil has peaked already....
