Euro had an inside bar on Friday. Will we have a similar consolidation like the 4 bar one from 2 weeks ago ? Watch the trendline and direction it breaks above/below Friday's range.
With quarterly losses expected from Wachovia Corp. and Washington Mutual Inc. due to defaulting mortgages, the market will also get data on existing home sales and new home sales. - CNBC
It's the stock market (and its effects in the currencies) that keeps me clueless, though.

Fortress mortgage fund down about 30 percent: WSJ
A Fortress Investment Group LLC (FIG.N) fund, the Fortress Mortgage Opportunities Fund, is down about 30 percent three months after the firm raised funds for it, the Wall Street Journal reported on its website on Sunday.
Fortress raised $560 million for a fund this spring by buying triple-A-rated residential mortgage-backed securities, the paper said.
The fund uses three-times leverage, owns only triple-A residential mortgage-backed securities and investors are locked in for three years, the paper said, citing unnamed sources.
Fortress could not be reached immediately for comment.

July 21 (Bloomberg) -- Ben S. Bernanke and Henry Paulson are under pressure to embrace the big-government policies of America in the 1930s, or Sweden in the 1990s, to contain the conflagration engulfing the U.S. housing and financial markets.
Among the ideas: Using taxpayer money to shore up the capital of loss-ridden Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, setting up new agencies to buy and refinance mortgages in default, even taking over failing financial institutions.
The government's current ``fire-brigade approach to dealing with the fallout from the extremely weak domestic economy is eroding general confidence in the U.S. financial system,'' says Brian Bethune, chief U.S. financial economist at Lexington, Massachusetts-based Global Insight. ``Bold, creative, aggressive policy action is needed.''

It is the "creative" part that scares the hell out of me... last time someone got creative in finance they invented SIVs ... something tells me one should stick with silver and goldwhile they're in their creative process.
They ran out of bullets. No more cash to pump or rates to cut.
