Up over 40 pips on that Eur/JPY pin, and I'm closing.

Getting too close to that top level.

Agreed that it was a little close, but I took it anyhow and watched it close.

a picture is worth 1,000 words

notice price consolidating/ moving sideways. This pinbar is then in traffic because of all the choppy sideways movement. This is why we want them at swing highs and lows

Please ask if you need anything clarified

These are "Areas" or PP-"ZONES". That's why you may read " ...PPZ at the 108.00ish area." The "ish" area may be 10 to 40 pip. When Price Action occurs within and/or off these areas, the move can be powerful.

Yes, I'm still in the Usd/Jpy long trade. I been posting the trade in as real time as I can so that it's easy to follow. I, like many others, like seeing potential PA set-ups when they occur, not after the fact.

My stop loss has not changed since moving it from below the PBs. Still just below the PPZ at 105.70. Dark Orange lines are my entries.
Stopped out.

I guess I was to quick to move my stop loss from below the PBs. I thought moving my stop loss below the PPZ was strong enough. I did bank some good pips off partial position from both entries.

Over all, I'm happy with this trade because I gave it a chance and still banked pips.

everything here looks great. but how about PBs that fail? and on weekly TFs?
this one was not in traffic, but at a swing high, touched a PPZ as you call it and so on.
Anyone shorted this PB on EY?

EurCad does not look so hot either. From my PA trades it seems that there is a reasonable probability when you are with a trend, if you fight the trend you better have tons of confluence.

Possible Bearish Hanging Man candle is taken out by slightly bullish candle...finally forming a triangle(Higher Low and Lower High)...

Break Out is Due!! ( I will bet on the upside)

Here's a quick complete answer:

moneybags " . . the location is the most important part. Not just the actual PA formation. (Repeat)
You can find Inside bars and Pin bars all the time. But if price has been going sideways and/or there's lots of traffic around, the PA setup is not as significant."

Location, Confluences (PZZ, Trendlines,etc.) and higher time frame PA make all the difference then the actual PA formation.

I'll take a DBHLC at new Highs, off a PPZ, hanging on a trendline then a PB in traffic anytime.
