Hi all,

my trade was stopped out @5771, I did short my TSL looking for a retrace, when price hang around near to such strong resistant normally walks away from there. Good work, 71 pips. Now looking for a new entry maybe @5730/50

5700 is a very strong number now and maybe doesn't get riched so a few pips above will be nice.

Hi,

Jacko generally adds to a position after 100 to 150 pips above the entry price (if the conditions seem suitable to him) and the added position is half the size of the original size. But this doesn't happen very often, if I remember right, we did this only twice.

cool thanks Hendrix. I wasn't sure if I'd read it somewhere and was interested as adding to positions isn't mentioned in Jacko's first few posts. I tried asking him but I think I emailed him in the heat of the moment during last night's rally and he referred me to see the blog.

hi Trumpcard, i think its really in the blog. I remember reading it, anyways, when we revisit the 5900, there's a fallen soldier. That seems like a compounding effect if you join us there.

The only way to trade this market is to leave your brains outside the door, don't forget to adjust the TSL. (Treat the TSL for compounded positions as separate individuals)


Who says its not trending nice enough... as long as enough pips for the turtles is good enough right?

Was a trade in May I think.... when he added at 1.5700 and then modified the TSL to 50 pips when approaching at 1.5800... Was a nice trade!

Short covering will force price to rise as well, looks like AH might have been trigerred.

well that was sweet but it may come back to bite me for exiting early

just exited on a 50 pip tsl from positions entered at 750, 800 and 850. i started with a 100 tsl and narrowed it once we got strongly up above 900 as i wanted it to really run. i may have been taken out with a bit of noise but i have banked some good pips and the close of today will tell alot and may tempt me to re enter if we close above 910. i'm prepared to sit out with my profits and watch and see what happens.

exited at 891 so it meant a 141, 91 and 41 pip gain for a total of 273 pips on the three positions.

i really think that if we are going to move up then it needs to do it from here. just my 2 cents.

Hello again,

Well, if the theory will continue to hold, we are bound to see a nice run up (after a solid breakout) to 1.6500+ levels quite soon. See the image below.

People - it is fine to attempt to apply Jackos method, but to do so blindly in the face of market price action that runs counter to your trade is a fast way to lose your shirt. Especially so if you do not have storng money management skill.

How interesting that this plummet southwards did not happen. Of course, it may yet happen; but it won't be because of the BEOB mentioned. I think it just goes to show that however likely an impending move seems to one person (or group of people), the opposite will seem equally likely to another. Current price always reflects this balance of sentiment. I find it's worth reminding myself, when apparently trading price, that I'm really trading changes of sentiment.

SHEESH would I like those people (who act like we are a bunch of imbeciles with sheep-like mentality) to come back and say oops maybe I shouldnt go shooting off my mouth like that.
