Well we will see if the News will push Cable in some direction.

Frankfurt and London seemed quite, calling USD - step up and move us.

Looks like Frankfurt opened at 1.9695

High 1.9722
Low 1.9689

London

High 1.9719 (just now)
Low 1.9671

I am watching for 1.9696 to come into play during the news time.

Everything seems pointing north so far, news will show us more.

We hit channel low 1.9810 and channel high 1.9819, waiting for confirmation of upwards now.

Priced was resisted from this previous resistance the past month, will wait for breach past this point up toward 1.9742 area, then a retracement back down to 1.9729/30 before scalp on Long.

1.9722 FrankFurt High seems to be holding support right now on the bottom of movement.

Positive news for US and negative move as well, so tomorrow after BOE announcement (if we move higher today) of no hike, and there is veeery slight chance of a raise, pound should tumble.

If however pound will fall today, i would have to rethink the whole picture

So far in the past 20 minutes or so we have had a upward move that consisted of only about 20 pips, not enough distance to activate my scalping strategy.

The timing for an entry is nearing completion, 30 minutes for this small of a move keeps me out of the market completely.

I am only referring to my scalping strategy, not the other strategies that I have active, I use other guidelines for those trades.

You will probably see the move downward if it happens at the top of the hour - 4 minutes.

Well, most of the USD crosses seem range bound atm. So it's not only Cable.

hi where do you think GBP/USD will go today and tomorrow? I think it will be back to 1.969 today and 1.96 tomorrow...what do you think guys?

The news isn't actually positive for the USD. It's dollar negative from the inflation side of the equation.

well i see them as positive, because it would indicate higher growth without inflation for now but then if the growth accelerates it will surely drag inflation up with it, but thats very long term. But anyways what bad about growth with little inflation.

From currency perspective, lower goes the inflation, lower would be the chances of interest rate hike... hence lesser demand for the currency. Over the long term, the economy will become strong and that will make the currency stronger over a longer time period.

Well you'll have to look at real rate of growth and real interest rates, because if you have higher inflation money will dipreciate faster therefore will be worth less, so it goes both way but Real interest rates is what most important.

Its not goin any where today! tired of lookin at it from Tokyo open to London Home. I leave with 10pips and two shorts sucked in when the broker increased the spread. Started my day with -14 on the the screen and end it with lousy same place. Wanna hit the bed badly.
