no idea why it's early, but also appears in Financial Times online, so news is definitely out

in my 2 cents - the market does not have a very clear trend setup at the moment - its only averaging and after 6 years of trading i have learnt not to emphasise my gut feeling (read technical analysis) to become the trend. So im not stepping into any medium term trades today.

However there are a few oppurtunities for scalping - i shorted at 1.9640 and took profit at 1.9618.

Am looking at going long at 1.9630 because 10 min charts say long and target profit is 1.9642

I doubt it will reach 1. 9700, the most it can go is to 1.9675 but I think It will find problem getting through 1.9666, and my prediction is, will bounce from 1.9666 to the low of 1.96....

Maybe we should add a new vital indicator for cable: "The Demonic Number" 1.9666 magnet.

I think we will be on the journey down to low 1.96 area, I personal think the movement up has gained us enough momentum to break the 1.9618 line...

1.9666 is hell a good resistance, it has been doing a great job for stopping many attempts to get through it... What a good goalkeeper...Hopefully it will keep on doing a good job...

Read my last post - so far in scalping i have been +40 pips. Next trade is short at 1.9680 or earlier if the 10 min charts start showing weakness. Target profit is 12-20 pips depending on the momentum and volume of the moves..

We started the day at 9590s and we're now at 9670, about to break yesterday's high / only 30 pips away from 9700, which if it is breached we're heading 9722.

All, and I MEAN ALL indicators are STROOOOOOOONGLY bullish

Why, in the name of God, are all of you guys TRADING A DOWNTREND over here?

What are you guys seeing that I'm not?????

Good luck to you though, but it seems that it most likely won't reach that price, but who knows? you might be right, furthermore 1.975 and 1.980 isn't that far, it's gonna take the sellers some times to resist the buying power...but then, As I said, I doubt...but we just wait and see...
