if i was ben, this is what i do: hike rates by 25 this time and say i will hike 25 next meeting. one reason, just to twig trichette. second, the dollar would rocket north, oil and the other commodities would drop big time, at least til trichette raises rates. the rate hike will not hurt the u.s that much, but will send the euro zone into a recession and get trichette fired, ben's ultimate goal. jmo

your charts are awesome. here is my view on euro. im long, but im welcome to shorts too, just not at the moment, unless it breaks 38% like u said.

Great Charts....

Right now my bias is short, I need to see how this FOMC plays out and then ECB next Thursday. If we are going north after Ben speaks, then start small and build slowly until the ECB rate statement.


If you look at the calendar, next Thursday will be bumpy ride, ECB rate statement...NFP and the start of the US on a 3 day weekend, could see a trend form on either side of Euro come 4th of July.

And don't forget, BOE doesn't have their rate statement until the following week.

On the sidelines until Thursday London Open.
