How do you want your pressure?

Would you prefer a $500 loss from a single account or a $100 loss from your 5 accounts. Which of the 2 makes you feel most comfortable when trading?

The answer is not the same for everyone. Some could care less if it's from a single account and some (for psychological reasons) prefer the latter.

Your stops (risk/reward ratios) aren't affective.

One still must proper execute their trades BUT emotions as well as market manipulations do exist and generate pressure for many.

IF YOU'RE ALREADY COMFORTABLE COOL... IF YOU'RE NOT (LIKE MANY) ATLEAST TRY IT AND SEE HOW IT FEELS. YOU MAY FIND YOU'RE MORE COMFORTABLE USING SMALLER CONTRACTS WITH MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS.

The wonderful thing about trading is there're many ways to achieve success... individually we've got to find our own niche.

Have no illusions there're many whom trade using multiple acounts; this isn't new doctrine by no means.

The only reason I can think of as to why one would want to diversify across multiple brokers is umm, ...... well, think Refco.

Actually, this depends on the brokerage. FXDD limits up to 50 standard lots.
