I just can't make this work !

LISPA should be able to filter out my stupidity, but no, it seems LISPA is just as stupid as me.

You must all have the same charts as me, and the same LISPA signals, and be doing the same as me (checking trend, stoch, MACD, bollis, pivots), and apparently you must be discarding 90% of signals (either LISPA or visual) because it seems that 90% of signals would, and do lose money. But I keep reading in this thread about a 90% success rate !

I could have posted any one of many charts for different pairs & TFs & days, but this one is I promise, chosen completely at random. It shows M5 with 7 signals, 4 with trend, and every one a loser.

i dont use the LISPA its a extra indicator and not a part of the origional setup, how are you reading the signals?

from your chart it was a buy all the way to around 20.10 on your chart where the red lag fell and price fell below the ema, that is where the sell came in to play,

If LISPA is such a crap simply forget it - for ever.

The blue Laguerrre, too would have given you fine signals - the profits by far outweighting the losses.

Hello. From the very first pages following the forum Imran Sait, a huge thanks emu.insert LISPA in its system and the dispute over 3 weeks depo 150 and is not doubled from 1500! Large depo with no problems go otryv.second dispute has been increased to 1500 and it succeeded, and now aim 15000. I mean that the system Imran exellent.I trained its system skalping Imran plus many of his friends who had never heard about FOREX. enclose the desktop, right-hand window with 1H-excellent viewing the situation in the market . english is not my mother, sorry.

from what I gather, the 1 hours TF is the best when using Imran Setup , right?

Thank you to everyone who responded to my post where I was confused. Basically, I coudn't see the wood for the trees (if you aren't english, it means that I couldn't see any wood because the trees were in the way !)

I think I now understand things better.

My first problem was in the name of this thread - scalping. I was looking at scalping, not longer term trades.

The second problem was in not understanding what the Lags are saying. I understand exactly what the MACD tells me from the shape of histogram, position of signal line etc, but there has been no mention in the first 120 pages of this thread, of what the Lags mean. I can only assume nobody knew.
If there had been an explanation, I think I would have understood everything much sooner. So for anyone else out there who is like me, here is what I have been able to find:
Laguerre is an indicator similiar to RSI, but it smoothes out false signals. (at the beginning of this thread, Lags AND RSI were used !)
The latest bar has more weight than previous bar - imagine a MA, then make it an EMA. Its the same with the RSI, a lag is an ERSI !

When there is a strong trend the lags stick to the top or bottom.

Blue lag (gamma 0.55), is fast & shows short term trend direction.
Red lag (gamma 0.85) is slow & shows the long term trend direction.

When the slow Red lag is rising and the fast Blue lag falling, expect a pull back since the long term trend is up (Red lag), but the short term trend is down (Blue lag).

Obviously, the rules of this strategy are correct.
(Confirmation from MACD/Stoch is a good idea before trading)

Just trade 1m and 5m charts and use the .80 setting and add a 60/200 ema for support and resistance areas...simple...you lose a few..win more!!
