Intraday trade remains extremely choppy but the daily chart offers clear directional bias which is to the downside. The pair continues to channel lower off of the 2.0400 mid-March highs reaching 1.9365 thus far ahead of the latest bounce. A lower top now looks to be firmly in place by 1.9850 to open a fresh push lower through key support at 1.9340-65.

Traders Disappointed By Tight Ranges Look For Clues

Traders are getting extremely worried that the usual summer doldrums have besieged the markets weeks ahead of time. Spot has been consigned to a dull 1.5465/15 range and traders are hoping and praying that someone will come along with a nice chunk of business to knock it out of its bounds.

The problem is that presently the moving averages and overbought/oversold levels have started to constrict around spot like a boa, making the tech traders reluctant to do much of anything. The composite 10-day M/A is just above the market at 1.5519, the 5-day at 1.5460, and the spread between overbought and oversold on the hourly Bollingers at full stretch (3 standard deviations) 1.5460/1.5575. With the 24-hr M/A at 1.5503 to cap it all off it will take "new news" or fresh flow to liven things up. Spot last at 1.5503. Accidentally waking up from my sleep just now Uh... not much action from UNCLE KING speech... except... My earlier SHORT SL on 1 pip on the green got hit... again What a crap day to trade.

However, upon seeing a SHOOTING STAR CS at exactly 61.8% Fibbo retracement of yesterday HiLo... without any doubt... I just click that SELL button again. SL 30pips.

Going back to sleep.

Comments
Rate bounces off support at the 1.9470 area; leaves a long bid wick
suggesting the downside is a head-fake. Comments from BOE reverse the rate
as traders panic on the sell-side. If long, need to be patient and wait for
the panic to subside and the rally to resume. Rate finds stops layered under
the 1.9600 area all the way down into active selling under the 1.9500
handle; if this selling is absorbed then the rate will recover fairly
quickly I think. Rumors of UK inflation concerns keeps the rate buoyed above
2008 lows. Likely cross-spreaders on the move. A bounce is likely and
aggressive traders can ADD if not already long. Spillover weakness from EURO
still likely as would be strength. Continue to expect a lot of
cross-trading; the cross-spreaders are having a field day with the Sterling
crosses and I think that will continue through this week and into the next.

Hi Enelope and Malaysa,

ODL Securities has the DOW JONES on there platform for free...PLUS a ton of other equity stocks, SP500, Russell 2000, DAX, OIL, etc. I have one monitor that I dedicate to just these stocks.

The DOW JONES is WS30 on there platform.

ODL Securities has a free Metatrader 4 platform.

FYI, for everyone. Kiwi dollar has made a typical inverted head and shoulders pattern. The Neckline looks to have broken as well. The next resistance looks to be about the 9640 level. Good luck trading everyone.

Went for Kung FU Panda yesterday afternoon.

Was hoping to learn a thing or two from from the Sifu to use in FX trading. And boy, was it a good lesson. I would recommend all traders to go see the movie and we can talk about it when we meet.

There are always lessons to be learned. Never stop learning and you will find your path to success.

I'm looking forward for a completion of wave b eiher a flat corrective (white) or an expanded flat corrective (magenta or yellow) today before later possible a major bearish corrective of wave c. Please noted that this scenario would only valid if the bullish continuation 1 still intact. A true breakout to the bearish reversal bias line would bolster the bearish reversal point of view. Therefore please monitor a bearish continuation signal from BSTS later. Good luck.

Ha ha, I watched that movie last night. Though most audiences went there for a good laugh, there are actually a lot of moral, wisdom, guidance, belief, faith and fate contained therein.

The secret is: Know Thyself! Accept yourself and improve on yourself.

Ha ha, cannot say too much or risk giving the story of the movie away.

GBPUSD is seesawing. Tight SL would have been met and losses incurred.
The pair now shows White Spinning Top (Neutral/no direction), and may either continue with the bullish trend (Thrusting Lines Continuation) or formed a White Star Reversal (Possible Top)

no see: dont watch news, because they will not be the first hand information. big trader, cot, even news paper got them more earlier then you. how can you be benifit from the news?

That SHORT on CABLE early in the morning at 3am... not good

I am trying this JAPANESE style now... shielding myself from hearing all NEWS. Purely TECHNICAL.

I never done this before... because since the early stage of my trading career ... I already incurred FUNDAMENTAL as part of my trading system. It worked really well for the past years... but not this year. I wonder why?

Yesterday, my Fundamental analysis had clouded my judgement. I saw that PIN BAR... that SPINNING TOP CS at the bottom around support line for CABLE before it shoot up... I even said I was GAGGING to go LONG... but my fundamental view halted me from doing so. Seems like... the BIG PLAYER already know what gonna happen next.

Like I said... review the mistake and keep on IMPROVISING.

Everything got pro and cons. I am still comfortable with my style which incurred both TECHNICAL and FUNDAMENTAL analysis. Just trying this method for a while... if it proven ... BETTER than my last performance... what the heck... I am gonna stick with it. Perhaps... only for this period of time... where NEWS causing so much confusion.

What do you guys think?
