I've had this problem probably at least close to a year and it still exits in latest version.

It is fixed and will be included in the next release along with many other updates.

Just reporting my personal experience. I was not aware of this bug, probably because I only added EUR/USD once some 18 months ago

Nav never crashed here, I've kept it open for days with no problem.

I only experienced (that I can remember) 2 types of problems with Navigator.
1. The above mentioned problem with adding symbols
2. It crashes if I try to open Navigator and account had a lot of orders in the orderbook.

Other than that, it's more stable than competitor's offerings.

Justin, have put your layout onto my platform. One question, under the level 2 I have a buy sell area you do not, can you explain how I can remove this portion of the window.

Question to Justin,

I'm currently testing a system on demo account written with your API and running into odd problem where some of my limit orders don't execute even though the price moved by a several pips below the set limit (it's a limit order to cover short position).
I have never experienced this sort of behavior on live platform. This issue is preventing me from testing as my TP orders never get hit. I must mention that this started today. Is there anything going on with your demo servers? Is matching logic in general different on demo vs. live?

Hi Justin,

I have some basic question (may be a stupid one) concerning the way limit orders work on MBT.

Lets say, on a level 2, there is a short order from some bank for 300 lots at 1.5600, and a buy order for 400 lots at 1.5596, so spread is 4 pips. I put a limit sell order inside the spread at 1.5598 for, lets say, 15 lots. Some other customer of yours puts a market buy order for just one lot and therefore gets one lot from my 15 lots. My order now is partially filled and there are 14 lots left to fill.

So, the question is, will this 14 lots stay there untill filled at my price (1.5598), or they will be immediately filled at the best available price (1.5596) ?

If you place a GTC limit oder, it will stay untill its filled completly at your price or better. If you place an IOC limit order, it will either be filled instantly or else it will be canceled immediatly (if there is not enough size available at your limit price, IOC will fill partially and the remaining order will be canceled).

I just thought I should report another bug with Navigator. When navigator is running and we suddenly lose our internet connection due to any reason, the navigator will keep on attempting to reconnect and shows a very annoying window on top of all other applications. If we then try to exit the Navigator, it won't exit and only way to close it is ctrl+alt+del and end process.

I am experiencing problems with the navigator. Specifically:

1. I logged in and i had no quotes on my board. I logged in 5 min to NFP. Could this be the reason?

2. I cannot place an order. When the quotes finally came back, I clicked the order button but no show. When i try again i get this " Failed to submit order: message pending from server"
I just hope they will not be excuted later on when im not around.

And somehow the platform seemed rather unstable today. Maybe its just me.

Justin please advice.

Justin,

Oanda has a setting that allows the trader to have their trades calculated to the exact percentage that they want when the buy or sell a currency pair. May I suggest that MBT create a setting like this as well, please.

For example, if a trader wants to buy eurusd and use 5% of the total account value it is set in the buy order and then if he wants to buy audjpy the order will still be 5% of the total account value.

Example 2, if a trader wants to do 30% per trade he can change the settings to that too.
