I believe one must take into consideration both news and technicals. Nobody who was traind on charts could have expected the 200 pip drop in euro yesterday. In fact, right before that, most were long eurusd. And that's how they were killed.

well, you are right, the trend might be broken, or it might have more room down. But with the EUR/USD, this trend is what I see.

Not really, I saw a pin bar on IBFX 4hr chart. I knew it would fall down, but I did not expect that fast.

June 4 (Bloomberg) -- Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke threw the weight of the central bank behind Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson's efforts to strengthen the dollar after its 10 percent drop over the past year.


Bernanke said in a speech yesterday the Fed is ``attentive'' to the currency and will guard against a jump in inflation expectations. Paulson a day before reiterated that he ``very strongly'' favors a ``strong'' dollar.

Looks like.

But Bernanke speaking does not necessarily means 200 pips move everywhere, as it's being anticipated in other threads.

I don't know the particulars on today's speech..

Some big labor data. Huge effort and hard work was put in this index so today it is well known as the lousiest index to preditc NFP.

This guy staggers into a bar and shouts, "A double whisky please, barman, and a drink for everyone here… and while you're at it, have one yourself."

"Well thank you, sir," says the barman and proceeds to pour everyone their drinks.

Moments later the guy shouts, "Another whisky for me, and the same again for everyone else."

The bartender looks a little worried now and says, "Excuse me, sir, but don't you think you should pay me for that last round first?"

The guy slurs, "I can't. I don't have any money." With this the bartender flies into a rage and literally throws the guy out of the bar.

Twenty minutes later the guy staggers back in and shouts out, "A double whisky for me, and a drink for all my friends."

"I suppose you'll be offering me a drink too?" the barman asks, marveling at the guy's nerve.

"Not likely," slurs the guy, "You get nasty when you drink!"

A husband and wife love to golf together, but neither of them are
playing like they want to, so they decide to take private lessons.

The husband has his lesson first. After the pro sees his swing, he
says, "No no, no, you're gripping the club way too hard!"
"Well, what should I do?" asks the man.
"Hold the club gently," the pro replied, "just like you'd hold your
wife's breast."

The man takes the advice, takes a swing, and POW! He hits the ball
250 yds. straight up the fairway. The man goes back to his wife

The next day the wife goes for her lesson. The pro watches her

The wife listens carefully to the pro's advice, takes a swing, and
THUMP. The ball goes straight down the fairway. . . about 15 ft.

Watching Obama on telly with the pro israel group this morning

That was some power sucking up - he left nothing out - to protect israel he would sacrifice the USA in its entirety

He said the two countries were both founded in the same way - I wondered if he meant through the killing of British soldiers ?

Actually the British have far more in common with the Israelis as they were killing arabs in their own countries hundreds of years before the USA was even born

My standpoint ? uninterested observer - a bacon eating Brit with some jewish friends who are fair minded people

I can see both sides so I am not just pro israel or just pro arab - but the sickly praise and boot licking of israel by all of the US politicians is nauseating and has to raise a lot of suspicions and plays into the hands of anti-semites who say that rich american jews are running the world.
