just define volatility.
if you unstretch the chart vertically it appears as a regular up/down wave, not as an important trend change, just a matter of multiplier.

Indeed no problem there. Back when Auslanco used to post his strategy trades, several times I used to think that he was just lucky, it just so happened that a news item came out and pushed the trade in his direction, or BOJ intervened in the market or someone made some statement etc.

The idea of intervention or manipulation by big players and technical anaysis (TA) are not necessarily mutually exclusive. I have come to think to TA as indicating the "movers and shakers" positioning themselves.

Is looking that way. In the UK, especially over the past fortnight, the builders and bank shares have been quietly plummeting. Everything else will follow soon enough.

Still annoyed at closing my short on the dow a while ago.

i'm short from 207.20 .... my TP is 32 fib which is 205.74 (if i have drawn it correctly) .... my fingers and crossed, my toes are crossed ... even my eyes are crossed!!

IMHO ... price will head a little higher to about 207.50/80 to shake shake shake before TANKING !
