What did I told you personally regarding HEDGING. Just Don't do it. Learn how to accept losses by using SL properly.

I told you that HEDGING... is the toughest strategy ever. Need proper knowledge and disciplines about it. If I shall rank it... Level 1 (easiest) to level 10 (hardest)... Hedging Skill is LEVEL 100... how about that.

Promise me Bro... uh... not to me... Promise to yourself Bro... Never Ever HEDGING again.

p/s: ... and... stop trading GJ for a while. Brush up your skills at FIBER or CABLE.

If you insist to master the skill of HEDGING... up to you Bro. This is the learning process... many crash and burn. With the Hardest Skill ever... comes with the HIGHEST price.

Even I can't Master it yet. However, I do know a trader with such skill. Never had RED PIPS or losses in his acc. statement.

Everything got pros and cons.

Taking out all the profit manually now. For CAPITAL APPRECIATION.

That's the beauty of MINIMIZE LOSS >>> MAXIMIZE PROFIT.

Even though I was on the losing streak. Accumulating small ... small... loses (tight SL got hit)... In the end... with just these Trades today... already covering all those losses from the losing streak... plus... with extra pips now as PROFIT. Alhamdulillah.

So tired already... switching off my PC. See you guys tomorrow

I have seen this movie before and I know how it ends. Here is the plotl line with the facts and the hot air that went with the facts.

My focus is on 5:00 AM and Bernake at 9:00 AM and the US Data due out on Friday.

RIGHT NOW WE HAVE INTERVENTION PERIOD...

Every time the US Dollar reaches a critical level they have no choice but to do something. So we start by Bernake talking up the US Dollar without raising rates which is not a good idea for the US Economy already in recession.

In the last two days there has been more terrible banking news including downgrades. The NFP is called for - 50,000 or so. The ECB and BOE meets on Thursday.

Gold was recovering and Oil was holding. The 2 Year Treasury dropped to 2.49% only 49 basis points over the FED Discount rate of 2.00%

Now let's look at where we are. The Dow is UP 43 or so BUT right after Bernake spoke it was down about 10. The 2 Year US Bonds (Treasuries) are now at 2.54% which means they are being sold again as the Yield goes up.

The USD/JPY was at a Low of 103.86 and is now 105.45 Bid. Gold is down as is Oil. Oil is down $1.76 and Gold down $14.30

All that MONEY is going INTO CASH again just like last week. The EUR/USD is at 154.25 and EUR/JPY has risen off it's Low at 161.815 to 162.61 so some of the Carry Trade is back on in Selling of Yen and Buying of Euro.

The HIGH in USD/JPY was 105.578 so far.

The FUNDAMENTALS have NOT CHANGED 1% BUT Bernake Spoke during a coordinated INTERVENTION by ALL CENTRAL BANKS !!!

Why ? The Answer all they have left is BS and BAD NEWS is around the corner.

I could be wrong since the market is always right but the Initial Reaction to Bernake was BAD for the Dow. That told me a lot. Now Technical Levels have changed on ALL the FX Currencies so Charts should be looked at again.

For MYSELF and PLEASE make your own chices as in the end only you are responsible for profits or losses. I am looking for JUST the RIGHT Moment To SHORT USD/JPY.

Look at the Dow now. It is ONLY UP 15 now.

What is the NEXT RESISTANCE on USD/JPY ?

This is my take on things at the moment !!!

this headging started from my EQ fault in first place...

anyway.. whatever is.. have to go for it..

I started practice another pair, SL system n anti-headging system from JACKO since last 3 weeks..

Don’t look now, but its back. Swept back upon the rocky shores and thrown harshly against the rocks by a vicious tide, the banks' shares are once again moving to new multi-year lows. Of course, the news is horrible, but the price action of financial shares suggests there is far worse yet to come. For those just looking at the last few days of the stock market rally, it might be very tempting to conclude that the averages are stabilizing and that things have gotten ‘back to normal.’ Ah, if only. As it happens, ‘normal’ is not even within hailing distance and lo to the investor who decides that now is the time to take his eye off the bouncing ball. In this case, the bouncing ball has been and remains the monumental credit crunch sweeping the globe. It is the proverbial elephant in the middle of the room that few like to talk about, and which once again in the last few days has passed another major round of gas. To begin with, we note that for the first quarter 2008, Banks' earnings fell by 46% to $19.30 billion with the number of officially reported ‘problem’ banks jumping from 76 to 90. In the first quarter, US Banks set aside a record $37.1 billion to cover losses, however, even government regulators don’t believe that will be enough to stave off further problems. According to Sheila Bair, Chairwoman of the FDIC, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, loan-loss provisions and bank failures will likely continue to rise in coming quarters. “While we may be past the worst of the turmoil in the financial markets (ed. Don’t count on it) we’re still in the early stages of the traditional credit crisis you typically see during an economic downturn” stated Ms. Bair.
In fact, Ms. Bair went on to point out that the ‘coverage ratio’ for banks is still declining, a ‘worrying trend.’ The coverage ratio compares bank reserves with the level of loans that are 90 days past due. According to the FDIC, “The ratio fell for the 8th consecutive quarter to .89 in reserves for every $1 of non-current loans, the lowest level since the 1st of 1993.” This trend has been reflected in a constant parade of banks reporting ‘worse than expected’ results and simultaneously increasing their loan-loss reserves. Take Keycorp (KEP) for example, which recently doubled its forecast for loan losses for the second time in the last few months. The stock collapsed by more then 10%, and as of last night closed at a new multi-year low and a new closing low for the entire decline.

I fully agree with SHAM.

HEDGING is definately out of the question.

Most beginners would think that this is their answer to their problems. But alas, sad to say, this may only be the beginning to the long and windy road downhill.

Learn to take your losses. Taking losses can be good.

Some of you may have experienced this in Hedging.

First, you start with a well intentioned trade. Then it starts to go wrong and you take positions on the other side. Now you think, wow, this platform is great. Not only will I protect my original position, I can even make some money along the way with no extra margins required.

Now... two scenarios can happen pending on the difference in prices of the positions taken. If the difference is small, then it is "ok" . But if the diffrence is 200 or more pips... then.....

Lets say... it is the larger of the two. After taking your positions, prices move against your new position. YOU ARE STUCK. You stress yourself up and keep wondering which way the market will move. Your mind is on the market all the time and you cannot concentrate on what you are doing. You have also tied up your capital. Which will not allow you to take a potentially profitable trade. Opportunity Cost.

Ok.. now lets say... one of the two positions is in profits of lets say 50 pips and signals are showing a reversal. You decide to take profits on this position and now HOPE that it will go back to your original position. A guru once said, in FX, do not smoke "HOP-ium". Prices now move a little and you are elated.

Now comes the bad news and the market turns for the worse. your FL is now more then 300 pips. What do you do ? Hedge again ? Or do you cut loss now.

This can be a never ending story. But it can come to a time when you decide to take your losses or more then 500 pips. And now you will be the happiest man on earth. WHY ? Cos, you dont have to worry about your positions anymore. You feel light and you go out to celebrate your losses. As the stress is now over. There is no more nursing a sick position.

But the morale of the story is, since you are so happy taking such a huge loss, why did you not take a small 30-50 pip loss in the very beginning ? You could have made it back in other opportunites as the above position can drag on for days and weeks.

Take Shams advise... he must have had the bitter pill himself.. and so have many experienced traders. Yours truly included.
