so moving at news relase moment is old style , and all forex traders became know it , so the banks must change there method, they want to win also..
Banks win regardless of your method - They can see all of our orders as well as much more important ones. They talk to each other. They are in the know, we are the ones on the outside.

Anything can happen, I just dont think that big institutions are now jumping on the bandwagon they created it a long time ago, 9500 was a large stop level and shorting level for many specs. I think that the spec market wont make its mind up until after today. Stops will now be clustered again to the upside as well as long orders, and I think we have more room to play with that way, thats all, but of course anything can happen.

Just go by what feels right to me at the moment - Just kidding - I find that the market gravitates towards certain MA's as well as RSI levels so I will use this information to determine my initial profit targets that seem very likely to be reached from a historical perspective. Then I can target further with less emotional stress. In some instances like right now I know that we have 30 min until another news release so I will drop some longs for small profit. Just a habit I've gotten into that works well for me.

Anyway, subwave 1 of wave 3 downwards is finishing. Maybe, or 1 more small downspike.

Same here... We are right at an important up trend line, that is coincident with a long term support at 9500.

Last week, there were guys here saying that to see the 9900s or 2.0 we would need to go under 9500 first.

Only with US rate hike we would see a reversal of the uptrend, imo.

Today and tomorrow is looking like a HUGE buying opportuniy right now, not for small scalping, maybe for whole February

Thoughts?

Let me disagree with most of you, for me we will see around 1.9200, in next days! Look at daily chart. For me it says it!

I agree that it MAY be a good buying opportunity, but if Fed comes out hawkish, who knows. If we start to trend hard up, there will always be dips to buy as well. But hey you know me, if we are going to speculate, might as well call it that and do it to the best of our ability.

The big however is this - If it is a huge buying opportunity how do you get in on the move - I feel the low at 9479 or in that area was a good buying opportunity. If it goes from here will you just miss the ride. The point is that alot of times, we dont have the necessary funds to build long term positions the way they should be built. 100 pip even 200 pip sl sounds crazy - but when you are talking about a 5-600 pip move, is it really that crazy.

Cant try to pick off beginnings of big moves with little move stops, just cant do it that way, and with leverage and small balance, impossible without blowing up your account eventually.

That would be nice to put us in a 700 pips wide horizontal channel, much easier to trade, I guess...

Good point. Breaking 9450 - 9400 down opens the gate to 9200....

I got what you say. Question is not about getting the low at the pip, but having in mind that the up trend is still going to be alive from this week on. This price now at this moment is important to show where are we going next.
