Another rule being satisfied. Break down through 21ema, pulled back to above it and closed below with that tail driven by news. The only factor was will the 200sma or that bottom trendline or the 89sma be the target.
edit: phillip : please confirm:ur stoploss was at 5715=above prevoiuse H1 candle ?

Good TC on USDCHF. Price closed with the TC above 89. I think this is the type of trade Philip said he won't even think twice before he takes it.
Honest, I took 2lots on this. High probability trade.

Enter @ 1.0416
TP1 @ 1.0441
TP2 @ 1.0500 using fib entension

SL @ 1.0388. This is even too much. It should have been a little below 89. Anyway let see how it goes.

Edit: Is 365 under attack on EU????????
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GOOD AND EXCELLENT IS ATTENTION TO DETAILS.

You can see uj starts to test 21ema of weekly chart again. All the majors are facing some resistants or supports, I think I had better wait until clear trend emerges to enter

Hey, Sukarno.

Firstly i see that you charts are not looking the same as mine. This suggests you are using another mt4 platfrom with another server. Most of are using a MIG mt4 because it shows the same candles as Phils, so we are all on the same playing field. That many help your analysis. Also the rhythm of the swissy is not short right now and so we are looking for a TC long as the previous post suggested. If you are in any doubt about how to read the market rhythm, pease read again Phils pdfs on the subject, all of which are listed on the first post.

There are some signals around this morning but looking at my 5mins charts, i didnt like the trades beginning before the close of the 8am candle. This is my personal feeling here and so i picked off smaller sums on my 5mins. It seems that when there is alittle run before the end of that 4hr candle there can be a pause which i dont like, it isnt clear enough to me. In other words it isnt really the beginning of a move it is coming in half way, enevitably into a price break. I dont feel comfortable with that.

Also on the Euro we are trading straight into the low of the previous day and the 89sma......any takers. Did anyone trade that?

Judicious 5mins trading in the context of this 4hr signal might be a solution for those not taking this. I am trading in this way today. From a 4hr signal.l point of view i would have left it though, and if in doubt do not trade.

This is a sensible approach. However with an effective 5 minute strategy trading can continue. Phil has often suggested people learn one to deal with days when there are no 4hr trades, and indeed, in conditions like this. There are lots of pips to be made but people need to be flexible. Above all, people need to learn more.

Maybe what people do not understand whilst spending time here, is that 4hr trading is only the meat in the trading sandwich. There is both a bigger context in which this trading takes place, and a smaller one. We look at monthly weekly and daily conditions, moving averages and trendlines to see where we are. We look to price action from higher time frames also to give clues to direction and to define possibilities. We use smaller times frames, as i have said, for other trading conditions, and as Phil has said, to release the urge to trade.

Unfortunately the limitations of this thread are such that these things are not able to be taught. People are obliged therefore to do their homework, and their backtesting in their own time. If this is not done, people with stumble out into the unsentimental glare of financial trading unprepared, at their cost.

Great trade, well done. I'm reading through one of the first lessons, and it says when the price breaks through the 89, it pulls back to the 21 before going on ity's way again. Now as I've said before, I'm a newbie, what do others think?

All of our trades are defined by money management. We had had a long discussion about the most effective ways to handle this on going issue afew weeks back. The 4 hr candle looks like a nice big one for alot of pips, but smaller time frames show the trade was subject to a considerable retracement of 38 which will affect the results. The price returned to the 89sma before moving up again. Most peoples stoploss strategy will not cope with this unless their stops are huge increasing their trading risk. Money management needs to be born in mind at all times and has a dramatic effect on peoples results.

Looking at EurUsd I see we have approached the -0.0045 line and looking like it might carry on. We have a long bear candle approaching the 365. Does that mean we are likely to see a retracement to the 89. I think we have 2 hours until the close of this candle, so one more would signal a trade or not (with a tc or a tr.) ****warning***newbie thinking***warning***.

I am keeping an eye on the longer term charts. We see the GBP found support on the daily 21ema and is getting abit stuck here with the 89sma nearby with the 365 and the 150 ema that i use on daily charts.

The Euro is heading lower, whether it reaches the 89sma again we will have to see. That is some 30 pips lower than the 4hr 365 at present.

Euro gave a beautiful trade last night 00:00 candle . Too bad it was late at sleeping time for me, would have taken the TC after a pullback to 200 sma down to 89 EMA,.and second lot open with potential down to 365 set at break even. This is on Interbank GMT platform. hope some else in a better time zone took it.
