Filter for QQEA

I am manual trading with an indicator called QQEA on a 30m gbpusd chart. It does great at catching trends, but also, there are some choppy areas as well. What are some good filters to help minimize the bad trades as shown in the attached chart?

Ah the filter for a filter for a filter ... buy a retracement of a new minor high after an up arrow, sell a retracement of a new minor low after a down arrow ... price will lead the way.

I don't quite understand your response. Would you mind adding arrows to a 30m gbpusd chart with the attached indicator, post here and explain your suggestion further? Change SF to 50.

Just saw you lurking on the Supernova chart and followed you here. Please have a look at this #28 post on mph's journal. Maybe you will find that useful. The indicators and the alerts were recently posted on the Supernova main thread and I guess you will completely do with only the QQEA at 3.5 DARF and the QQE at normal 4.236.

I regularly trade the higher TFs with only that setup!

More an edit than a new post:

Please consider leaving the SF of both indicators at 1 if you trade manually. Maybe you will understand better as you read a bit about the above mentioned approach, but it really is worth it to see, what the QQE(A)s are "thinking". This is completely ironed away by a SF other than "1"!

The QQEA thing, i still wondering, i still finding a good indicator to filter up all the bad trade. Especially during the tight ranging market. Should finds an indicator whereby tell EA not to trade at this kind of market. still lurking around

hey eagle..... the qqe plays a major role in my trades..... it will beat you to death on the 30 minute chart without some sort of hard line rules on direction.....

for me, the tsr , alma and qqe on the daily chart works well..... this is further supported by the 240, and 60 charts..... trade only when all 4 tf's tsr(60) agree.....

the need for the confirming 30, 60 and 240 is for early exit only.... used alone, the daily tsr(60) will exit late.....

in the charts below, the vertical lime and red lines on the daily chart mark the begin and end daily tsr signals..... it is the lowest horizontal line in the qqe chart at 30..... lime for buy red for sell..... daily alma at 70.....

dropping down in timeframes, 240, 60, 30 you can easily see how it keeps you aware of the daily direction......h
